Li vs. Cibulkova takes place on Rod Laver Arena.
Li is determined to erase the memories of final losses in 2011 and 2013 when she takes on Cibulkova in Saturday's Australian Open final.
The Chinese star lost in three sets to Kim Clijsters three years ago, while Victoria Azarenka came out on top in another three-set tussle twelve months ago.
However, Li now has another chance to be crowned champion in Melbourne, having swept aside Eugenie Bouchard 6-2 6-4 in the semi-finals, and the fourth seed is determined be crowned champion.
"Last time was a little bit tough," Li told reporters.
"I will try this time to make one more step."
Looking ahead to the final, she added: "[It will be a] tough match of course in the final. I think for sure we both will try fight on the court, because it's one more step to take the trophy."
Cibulkova thrashed fifth seed Agnieszka Radwanska 6-1 6-2 in the semi-finals to become the first Slovak to reach a Grand Slam final.
Cibulkova is playing in her first major final and wants to enjoy the experience.
"I think I will be prepared," she said.
"I just want to go out there and enjoy it, the same way I have enjoyed all my matches."
Li, who hopes it will be third time lucky, is the bookmakers' favourite to win the final, and leads Cibulkova 4-0 on the head-to-head.
