Tennis action at the If Stockholm Open continues with the likes of Juan Martin del Potro and Grigor Dimitrov taking each other on in the semi-finals. The second semis will be between Jack Sock and Alexander Zverev.
These four players have been in inspired form and hence made it down to the last four of the Stockholm Open.
Del Potro comes into this match on the back of a straight sets win over Ivo Karlovic, 6-3, 6-4. The argentine has been on top of his game and is yet to drop a set in this tournament. He looks like a man on a mission. He usually covers a lot of ground on the court given that he likes to stick to baseline and is a forehand heavy player. He should be able to go past Dimitrov and into the grand finale.
Dimitrov comes into this match on the back of a win over Kevin Anderson 7-6(3), 5-7, 6-2. He has been in good form in this tournament but as been unable to get one over Del Potro in his entire career.
These two have met a total of three times and Del Potro has enjoyed three comfortable wins.
The second semis between Sock and Zverev will be there second meeting. They have played each other once earlier in the year where the German came out on top beating the American.
Sock enters this match on the back of a gruelling two matches which went to the wire. He beat Dustin Brown in the earlier round 7-6(5), 4-6, 6-4. On the other hand, Zverev had an easy outing beating Tobias Kamke 6-3, 7-6(5) and is yet to drop a set in the tournament.
As things stand, we can expect to see Del Potro and Zverev win their semi-final encounters to face each other in the finals of the Stockholm Open.
