Bet365 Offer Day 10 Australian Open Betting Tips
Day Ten of the 2022 Australian Open features the second set of Quarter-Final matches from both the Men’s and Women’s competitions, including a box office show-down between title favourite Daniil Medvedev and Canadian star Felix Auger-Aliassime in the Rod Laver Arena.
Daniil Medvedev v Felix Auger-Aliassime – Prediction
World number two Medvedev steps up his quest for a maiden Australian Open title with a clash against ninth seed Auger-Aliassime in the Quarter-Finals on Wednesday.
Russian star Medvedev is bidding for back-to-back Grand Slam titles, having opened his account at the US Open last September.
In the absence of rival Novak Djokovic, Medvedev was immediately installed as pre-tournament favourite and has fully justified that tag with his performances in Melbourne over the past week.
Runner-up to Djokovic here 12 months ago, the 25-year-old has seen off the likes of Nick Kyrgios, Botic van de Zandschulp and Maxime Cressy for the total loss of just two sets, and he looks like taking some stopping on current form.
Auger-Aliassime, meanwhile, is through to his first Australian Open Quarter-Final and his third Grand Slam Quarter-Final in a row, underlining his superb spell of consistency.
The 21-year-old came through a five-set thriller with Emil Ruusuvuori in the First Round and has gone on to defeat Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Dan Evans and Marin Čilić.
The Canadian is now vying for his first win over Medvedev at the fourth attempt, having notably lost in straight sets in their Semi-Final meeting at the US Open.
Medvedev has not had things all his own way in Melbourne so far and is unlikely to again here, but should have enough in the locker to fend off a tricky test from the emerging star in either four or five sets.
