Roger Federer has been on fire during quarantine and the legendary Swiss was at it again as he engaged with some of his 12.7 million Twitter followers.

After already lighting up social media with his crazy hat/volley challenge last week, Federer returned to Twitter to discuss what retired player his fans would most like to make a comeback.

As expected, a wave of replies quickly followed, with Federer replying to a bunch with some solid one-liners.

One of the first was American legend Pete Sampras – the man Federer beat in that famous Wimbledon fourth round clash from 2001, which is regarded as the match that took the Swiss’s game to the next level.

However, Federer wasn’t so sure about one of the next picks – his wife Mirka, who was once ranked as high as No. 76 in the world in singles and made the third round of the U.S. Open.

The pair met at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, but Federer wasn’t so sure about a potential mixed doubles reunion…

Various other legends got a shoutout from the Fed Express, including the likes of Martina Hingis, Andre Agassi, Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe, Steffi Graf, Ivan Lendl and Jimmy Connors.

Some of Federer’s early-career rivals were also mentioned, including the ‘volley master’ Tim Henman and Aussie star Lleyton Hewitt.

Speaking of Australian legends, Rod Laver and Ken Rosewall couldn’t be left off the list, along with Pat Rafter, who famously was undefeated against the great Swiss.

But Federer wasn’t so sure about a comeback from coach Ivan Ljubicic, who beat him twice in his native Switzerland. Or his father for that matter…

Great stuff from the Fed.
