Kyrgios taunts Djokovic and Nadal in chaotic Instagram Live chat with Murray
Nick Kyrgios and Andy Murray combined (well mostly Kyrgios) for a wild Instagram Live session on Saturday night, with the Australian – among other things – repeatedly informing Murray that he’s ‘better’ than Novak Djokovic.
With a red wine in hand, Kyrgios let fly with a plethora of jokes and praise for Murray, declaring the Scot should have won more slams and put together a more decorated career than he currently has.
True to form, the likes of Djokovic and Rafael Nadal caught some shots amongst the compliments for Murray.

“Muzz is, he’s better than the big three,” Kyrgios said. “And Twitter is gonna be like, ‘oh, that Nick Kyrgios, Kyrgios says that Murray is better than the Big three.’ I believe it. I actually believe it. … Well you’re definitely better than Djokovic, that’s for sure.”
At times, Murray was left speechless as Kyrgios continued to let loose with his controversial banter.
The Australian brought up their 2014 clash in Montreal, where Murray emerged an easy 6-2 6-2 winner. That match came just weeks after Kyrgios stunned Nadal at Wimbledon, but he said he was all at sea with no answers for Murray.
“I literally felt like I didn’t know what tennis was that day,” Kyrgios reflected. “I wanted to walk off after like four games.”
And then came the not-so-subtle jab at Nadal.
“I played him pretty convincingly at Wimby,” Kyrgios said. “So I thought I’d have a chance.”
Kyrgios also had some words for Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas, saying the young guns ‘hate each other’, while also insinuating that Dominic Thiem’s idea of fun would include watching paint dry…

“It’s because it’s fun man,” Kyrgios said in response to Murray quizzing him on why he loved the Laver Cup.
“I am there with my best buds, trying to beat some European guys who have no banter, don’t give one-eff about each other and act like they care for one week which pisses me off.
“Let’s be honest, Tsitsipas and Zverev hate each other, then they are besties all of a sudden.
“Someone like (Dominic) Thiem … I mean I like to get good vibes from trying a new cocktail … he’d prefer to watch paint dry.”
You can watch more of the Instagram Live chat below, which includes Kyrgios doubling down on his belief that Murray is better than Djokovic – mostly because the Serbian was ‘playing dodgeball’ with the Aussie’s serve…
