Medvedev v Opelka live stream and preview | ATP Toronto 2021

Daniil Medvedev will be looking for his 4th consecutive Master title when he takes on Reilly Opelka in the final of the National Bank Open 2021 in Toronto.

Daniil Medvedev has only dropped two sets in Toronto this week and dispatched John Isner in the Semi-finals while losing just four games. He looked very confident against John Isner, who is a big server, but he now faces another player with a huge service in the shape of Opelka. Daniil has played six consecutive finals on hard courts and lost three in the process.

Reilly Opelka, on the flip side, has had a fantastic tournament in Toronto 2021 so far. He kicked off his campaign with a great victory over Kyrgios and followed that with another impressive success against Dimitrov. Then, the American secured two more wins against Harris and Bautista-Agut, before registering the biggest victory of his career – against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinals. Opelka can now become the first American champion in this North American hardcourt even since Andy Roddick back in 2003.

We fancy a close contest, so we back Over 22.5 Games at the price of 9/10 with Bet365.

Medvedev v Opelka is available to watch via a live stream online from approximately 9pm BST.

Daniil Medvedev and John Isner will go toe-to-toe in the second semifinal of the ATP Toronto 2021.

Daniil Medvedev has lost just two of his last 15 matches on grass and hard courts. During this run, Medvedev did well to win a title in Mallorca and also reach the 4th round in Wimbledon, the quarter-finals at the Tokyo Olympics, and now the Semi-finals of the ATP Toronto 2021. His week in Toronto has gone pretty well, although he didn’t play against any top 10 players. His toughest opponent was Hubert Hurkacz in the quarter-finals where Daniil was one set down and needed two tie-breakers to book his place in the Semifinals.

John Isner has recently won the Atlanta Open and continued his form with four other victories here in Toronto. The American is now on a nine-match winning streak on hard courts while dropping just four sets in the process. Three of his four victories here in Toronto ended in straight sets, with the only exception being the 2nd round match against Garin. Isner’s previous appearance in the Semifinals of the ATP Toronto was in 2021 when he lost to Richard Gasquet in straight sets.

We expect a close contest with Over 23.5 Games at odds of 9/10 with Bet365.

Medvedev v Isner is available to watch via a live stream online from approximately 1am BST.

Either Roberto Stefanos Tsitsipas or Reilly Opelka will await the winner in Sunday’s Final.

Stefanos Tsitsipas takes on the American Reilly Opelka in the first Semifinal of the ATP Toronto today at 20.00pm (UK Time).

Things have went smooth for Stefanos Tsitsipas here in Toronto, especially in the previous two rounds. He began his Canadian adventure with a hard-fought win over Ugo Humbert, but then dispatched both Karen Khachanov and Casper Ruud in straight sets. The Greek has dropped just five games in each of his clashes with Khachanov and Ruud, and he is now looking for a place in the final for the second time in the last three years. Stefanos managed to reach the final round in his debut campaign back in 2018 when he lost to Rafael Nadal after defeating the likes of Djokovic, Thiem, Zverev, and Kevin Anderson.

After a couple of mixed results, Reilly Opelka managed to find a bit of consistency and he is now on a four-match winning streak here in Toronto. On his way to the semifinal, the American managed to eliminate some big names such as Nick Kyrgios, Grigor Dimitrov and Bautista-Agut. Thjs is Opelka’s second appearance in a semifinal of Masters 1000 events, after his unexpected performance on his least preferred surface (clay) in Rome two months ago.

Stefanos Tsitsipas has raised his game in the previous two rounds, so we fancy him to grab another 2-0 win at the price of 61/100 with Bet365.

Tsitsipas v Opelka is available to watch via a live stream online from approximately 8pm BST.

Either Roberto Daniil Medvedev or John Isner will await the winner in Sunday’s Final.

Daniil Medvedev takes on Hubert Hurkacz in a mouth-watering Quarter-Final at the 2021 National Bank Open in Toronto on Friday.

A repeat of their Wimbledon show-down last month sees world number two Medvedev bidding for revenge over the big-serving Pole.

Hurkacz came out on top in a five-set thriller in the Last 16 at SW19 as he went on to reach his first Grand Slam Semi-Final.

The 24-year-old, who also defeated Roger Federer during that landmark run, finds himself at number 13 in the ATP rankings.

After a Second Round walkover against the injured Kei Nishikori, Hurkacz began his campaign at the National Bank Open by recovering from a set down to defeat Nikoloz Basilashvili.

Hurkacz is bidding for his second ATP Masters 1000 title of the year, having opened his account at the Miami Open back in April.

Medvedev, meanwhile, headed to Canada on the back of a Quarter-Final exit at the Olympic Games in Tokyo and is aiming to secure his third title of 2021.

The number one seed came from a set behind to dispatch Alexander Bublik before easing past James Duckworth in straight sets in just 69 minutes.

Runner-up in this year’s Australian Open, Medvedev will be eyeing revenge over Hurkacz and we expect him to obtain that, though not without a tough battle.

Medvedev v Hurkacz is available to watch via a live stream online from approximately 12.15am BST.

Either John Isner or Gaël Monfils will await the winner in Saturday’s Semi-Finals.

Casper Ruud and Stefanos Tsitsipas go head-to-head in an unmissable Quarter-Final at the 2021 National Bank Open in Toronto on Friday.

Only the second competitive meeting between the two players will see them square off for a place in the Last Four of the ATP 1000 event.

World number three Tsitsipas celebrated his 23rd birthday on Thursday with an impressive straight-sets victory over in-form Karen Khachanov in the Last 16.

The Greek star was runner-up in this year’s French Open and a semi-finalist in the Australian Open, while also picking up his first ATP Masters 1000 title at the Monte-Carlo Masters in April.

Ruud, meanwhile, is in the midst of a stunning spell of form which has seen him go 14 games unbeaten, winning his last three tournaments.

The 22-year-old, who has four ATP titles to his name this season, has defeated Marin Cilic and Dusan Lajovic so far this week and is gradually beginning to produce his top form on the hard court surface.

Ruud prevailed in straight sets when he faced Tsitsipas in the Round of 16 of the Madrid Masters earlier this year and will be wary of a potential revenge mission from the Greek.

The bookmakers make hard court specialist Tsitipas the 2/9 favourite, but we expect a closer game than the odds suggest, and our best bet is for over 21.5 total games.

Ruud v Tsitsipas is available to watch via a live stream online from approximately 5pm BST.

Either Roberto Bautista Agut or Reilly Opelka will await the winner in Saturday’s Semi-Finals.

Karen Khachanov and Stefanos Tsitsipas will square off in the Second Round of the 2021 National Bank Open on Thursday.

Khachanov has won seven of his last eight matches on hard courts, which includes a straight-set victory over Aslan Karatsev in the previous round of the National Bank Open. It wasn’t an easy match for Karen, as he needed a tie-break in the opening set and came back from two games down to win the second set. Khachanov has reached the semifinal in Toronto 2018 and Montreal 2019 and he can repeat this performance if he manages to win today against Tsitsipas.

After a couple of poor performances on clay and grass surfaces over the past month, Tsitsipas is still looking to find his form on hard courts. He suffered an early exit at the Tokyo Olympics in the third round following a 2-1 loss against Humbert. However, he got his revenge over the Frenchman yesterday following a 2-1 victory. Regardless the recent form, Tsitsipas has reached at least the quarterfinal in 11 of the 14 tournaments that he has entered so far this year.

The most recent two meetings between these two have been tight affairs, so we fancy another close contest with Over 20.5 Games at Odds of 1/2 with Bet365.

Khachanov v Tsitsipas is available to watch via a live stream online from approximately 4pm BST.

Two fellow compatriots will square off in the Second Round of the National Bank Open on Wednesday as Aslan Karatsev faces Karen Khachanov.

Karatsev has enjoyed a couple of decent results on clay two months ago, but he couldn’t bring that form over the grass and hard surfaces. The Russian has won just one out of three matches on grass courts and then lost in the 2nd round of the Tokyo Olympics at the hands of Chardy. However, Karatsev has impressed on the hard courts in the earlier stages of 2021 when he reached the Semi-finals of the Australian Open before winning the Dubai trophy.

Meanwhile, Khachanov has recently won the Silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics and began his Toronto adventure with a hard-fought victory over in-form Cameron Norrie. The Russian served 10 aces and won 77% of his 1st serve points. Unfortunately, Karen is yet to win a trophy this year but he did well to reach a couple of Semifinals at the ATP tour-level so far this year.

Khachanov has won three of the four meetings with Karatsev, and he is the in-form player in this tie. We fancy Khachanov to win here at the price of 53/100 with Bet365.

Karatsev v Khachanov is available to watch via a live stream online from approximately 4pm BST.

Cameron Norrie and Karen Khachanov will square off in the opening round of the National Bank Open 2021 on Tuesday, with both looking to get back to winning ways.

After a title in Los Cabos and a Quarter-Final appearance in the Atlanta Open, Norrie has suffered a second-round exit in the Citi Open at the hands of Kei Nishikori. However, Norrie has delivered impressive performances across all surfaces so far this year. He finished as runner-up on three occasions in Estoril, Lyon, and London (Queen’s Club Championship). In addition, Norrie’s record in the opening-round matches on the main tour this year reads 16 victories and just one defeat.

Khachanov has won nine of his last eleven matches on grass and hard surfaces. He has reached the quarter-finals in Wimbledon at the beginning of July and won Silver at the Tokyo Olympics after losing to Alexander Zverev in the Final. The Russian is currently on a nine-match winning streak in the opening-round matches on outdoor hard courts.

We fancy a tough contest here, so our prediction is Over 22.5 Games at odds of 4/5 with Bet365.

Norrie v Khachanov is available to watch via a live stream online from approximately 4pm BST.

ATP and WTA action continues at the 2021 National Bank Open, and a live stream is available for all matches.

The 140th edition of the men’s tournament, an ATP 1000 held in Toronto, features 16 seeded stars joined in the draw by a series of qualifiers and wildcards.

The 129th edition of the women’s tournament, a WTA 1000 held in Montreal, also features 16 seeds accompanied by a host of qualifiers and wildcards.

The respective events continue the build-up to the US Open in New York later this month.

Rafael Nadal is the reigning and five-time Canadian Open champion, having claimed back-to-back titles in 2018 and 2019.

Nadal is the number two seed and is eyeing a return to the winner’s circle having opted out of Wimbledon and the Olympic Games before suffering a Last 16 defeat to Lloyd Harris in the Washington Open last week.

Daniil Medvedev, who was beaten by Nadal in the 2019 final, returns as number one seed, with Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev seeded three and four respectively.

The likes of Denis Shapovalov, Casper Ruud, Félix Auger-Aliassime and Diego Schwartzman will also be out to make their mark.

The women’s event sees Bianca Andreescu bidding to defend her title on home soil, with the Canadian seeded number two behind recent Wimbledon semi-finalist Aryna Sabalenka.

Two-time champion Simona Halep is also in action, alongside the likes of Elina Svitolina, Karolína Plíšková and Coco Gauff.

All matches are available to watch exclusively live on desktop, mobile or tablet devices to users in the UK and various other regions worldwide.
