Murray v Alcaraz live stream and preview | 2021 Vienna Open

Andy Murray aims to do the double over Carlos Alcaraz when the pair collide in the Round of 16 at the Vienna Open on Wednesday.

Experience meets youth for the second time in the space of a month as multiple Grand Slam winner Murray takes on 18-year-old emerging star Alcaraz.

Murray, 34, came from a set down to prevail in a decider at Indian Wells a fortnight ago and has shown glimpses of a return to his vintage best in recent times.

The Scot secured his first top ten victory of the year against in-form Hubert Hurkacz on Monday, avenging his defeats in Cincinnati and Metz earlier this year by coming through a gruelling contest which lasted two hours and 41 minutes.

Murray’s wildcard pick for numerous events of late has seen him run into the top names in the early rounds, but the veteran has underlined his trademark grit and tenacity to prove he is still more than a match.

Alcaraz announced himself as a star of the future by reaching the Quarter-Finals of the recent US Open at Flushing Meadows as he bids to follow in the footsteps of fellow Spaniard Rafa Nadal.

The young right-hander picked up his first ATP title on clay at the Croatian Open in July and is looking to make it back-to-back wins over British opposition this week, having dumped out Dan Evans in the previous round.

Alcaraz’s victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas at the US Open proved he has no fear of facing the sport’s top names on the big stage and he will be relishing the opportunity to gain revenge on Murray here.

Murray’s marathon match against Hurkacz may have taken a lot out of the Scot physically, and for that reason we’re opting for a first head-to-head win for Alcaraz as the outsider of the two at 13/10 with Bet365.

Murray v Alcaraz is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 4.30pm BST.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Grigor Dimitrov will square off in the first round of the Vienna Open today at 2.30pm (UK Time).

Stefanos Tsitsipas has registered 11 victories in his last 15 matches on hard courts, but unfortunately, he didn’t win a single title in the process. Tsitsipas had a tough time in Indian Wells recently where he only reached the quarterfinals, losing against Basilashvili.

Stefanos reached at least the quarterfinal in both indoor events that he competed this year: semifinals in Rotterdam and quarterfinals in Marseille.

Meanwhile, Grigor Dimitrov has been in fine shape of late. The Bulgarian has made back-to-back semifinals recently in San Diego and Indian Wells. Dimitrov has reached the quarterfinals here in Vienna back in 2020, but he lost in the opening round back in 2018 and second round in 2019. Actually, his most recent victory in Vienna came against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the second round of the 2020 edition.

Our best prediction for this matchup is Over 22.5 Games at odds of 5/6 with Bet365.

Tsitsipas v Dimitrov is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 2.30pm BST.

The reigning champion Cameron Norrie will face Marton Fucsovics in the opening round of the Vienna Open on Tuesday at 1.30pm (UK Time).

Cameron Norrie has recently won the biggest title of his career in Indian Wells earlier this month. He dropped a set in four of his six matches at Indian Wells, but surprisingly, won in straight sets against the biggest names in the shape of Schwartzman and Dimitrov.

The Brit has played six Championship matches over the past ten months and managed to win two titles in the process.

Marton Fucsovics, on the other hand, did well to reach the 5th round at Wimbledon three months ago, but things have gone bad for him since then. Marton has lost six of his last eight matches on hard courts. After a couple of opening-round eliminations at the US Open, Metz, San Diego and Indian Wells, Fucsovics managed to reach the third round in Antwerp last week.

Our prediction for this clash is Cameron Norrie to win 2-0 at odds of 6/5 with Bet365.

Norrie v Fucsovics is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 1.30pm BST.

Hubert Hurkacz and Andy Murray will face each other for the third time in the space of two months, as the pair meet in the opening round of the Vienna Open on Monday.

Hurkacz has been in excellent shape this year. The Pole made his seventh Quarter-Final appearance of the 2021 season in Indian Wells a few weeks ago. He defeated the likes of Popyrin, Tiafoe and Karatsev in straight sets before losing against Dimitrov in the Last Eight.

Hurkacz has won three tour-level titles so far in 2021, including the Miami Masters and a maiden Semi-Final appearance in Grand Slams at Wimbledon.

Meanwhile, Murray is quite lucky to keep getting wildcard entries in the main draw of tour-level events in 2021, but the draws he is getting aren’t that fortunate. The Brit has made only 12 main draw appearances over the past 10 months and entered 11 of those with a wildcard.

Murray’s recent form on hard courts reads six victories and four defeats, with his most recent loss being in the 2nd round of the Antwerp Open against Schwartzman.

Hurkacz has won the most recent two meetings with Murray in straight sets, so our prediction is Hurkacz to win 2-0 at odds of 1.37/1 with Bet365.

Hurkacz v Murray is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 4.30pm BST.

Nikoloz Basilashvili will take on Pablo Carreno-Busta in the opening round of the Vienna Open on Monday at 1.00pm (UK Time).

Nikoloz Basilashvili enjoyed one of the best weeks in his career in Indian Wells where he suffered a dramatic 2-1 loss in the final against Cameron Norrie. Basilashvili had a one-set lead and a break in that clash, but unfortunately, he couldn’t clinch the match.

The Georgian has been in fantastic shape over the past ten months, winning two ATP Tour titles and posting six or more quarterfinal or better results on the main tour. The bad news is that Nikoloz has played three main draw matches here in Vienna and lost all of them.

Meanwhile, Pablo Carreno-Busta has endured a disappointing Indian Wells campaign recently, where he lost in straight sets 0-6,4-6 at the hands of Khachanov in the second round. However, the Spaniard is undefeated in first-round matches here in Vienna. In addition, he did well to win at least one match in seven of his nine tournaments on the hard courts so far this year.

Pablo has won two titles in 2021, in Hamburg and Marbella, but he has lost two of his last three matches on hard courts recently.

We expect a tight match with Over 22.5 Games at odds of 9/10 with Bet365.

Basilashvili v Carreno-Busta is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 13.00pm BST.
