Rafael Nadal v Daniil Medvedev live stream, preview and tips | Australian Open 2022 Final

Rafael Nadal will take on Daniil Medvedev in a mouth-watering climax to the 2022 Australian Open in Melbourne on Sunday.

A rematch of the 2019 US Open final, in which Nadal managed to win after four hours and 54 minutes, sees the Spaniard look to complete an historic triumph.

Nadal is just one win away from his second Australian Open title and from a record 21st Grand Slam title to overtake rivals Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic at the top of the all-time list.

The Spaniard has won all his ten of his matches in 2022, including a title in Melbourne in the build-up for the Australian Open.

Nadal had his toughest test against Denis Shapovalov this fortnight when he edged a five-set thriller, having claimed the first two sets.

Rafa’s conversion rate at the Australian Open is pretty poor, having won just one of his five title-deciding matches, but he will be determined to secure what would be a landmark moment in the sport’s history.

Medvedev, meanwhile is currently on a nine-match winning streak on the hard surface, including a 3-1 victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Semi-Finals.

The Russian star will seek to win his Grand Slam title on Sunday and has carried the weight of the tournament-favorite tag from the outset in the absence of reigning champion Djokovic.

Medvedev defeated Nadal in their most recent meeting with the Spaniard at the ATP Finals 2020, although he lost the only meeting in a Grand Slam final.

Our prediction for this clash is Over 3.5 sets at odds of 53/100 with Bet365.

Nadal v Medvedev is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 8.30am GMT.

World number one Ashleigh Barty will be looking for her third Grand Slam trophy when she takes on Danielle Collins on Saturday in the final of the 2022 Australian Open.

Barty has been in perfect shape since the start of 2022, opening the year with a 14th career title in Adelaide and following this up with an incredible run at the Australian Open.

The reigning Wimbledon champion has stormed into the final in Melbourne without losing a single set in the process and has dropped just 21 games in six rounds, which is the third-most efficient route to the final in Australian Open history.

Barty is now looking to become the first homegrown female player to win the Australian Open singles title since 1978.

Collins, a semi-finalist at the Australian Open back in 2019, has also been in imperial touch all fortnight in Melbourne. The American has improved her game in the second week of the event, having dropped just 11 games in the previous two rounds.

Furthermore, she comes fresh into this final after an incredible performance against Iga Swiatek in the Semi-Finals, defeating the Pole in straight sets (6-4, 6-1).

Since undergoing surgery for endometriosis last spring, Collins has won 36 of her last 46 matches. During this run, she managed to win titles at Palermo and San Jose.

It is obvious that Collins feels great in Melbourne as three of her seven top-10 victories have come at this prestigious competition.

Barty is the heavy favourite for this final, but we expect Collins to test the home favourite. Our prediction is Over 19.5 Games at odds of 3/4 with Bet365.

Barty v Collins is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 8.30am GMT.

Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas will lock horns on Friday in a rematch of last season’s Australian Open Semi-Final.

Medvedev enjoyed a flawless run until the Quarter-Finals this week when he was really tested by Felix Auger-Aliassime.

The Russian managed a superb comeback, having fought from two sets down to defeat the Canadian.

Medvedev is now looking to become the first active non-big-3 player to win two consecutive Grand Slam titles. He is the heavy favourite to win the title in Melbourne and his form over the past few seasons has been fantastic.

After a couple of unconvincing results at the Australian Open 2022, Tsitsipas produced his best performance to demolish Jannik Sinner in straight sets in the Quarter-Finals.

The Greek star is now into the Semi-Finals of the Australian Open for the third time in his career. He now looks like a real contender for the trophy and he is eyeing a second Grand Slam final and a first one in Melbourne.

Tsitsipas is the youngest player to make five Semi-Final appearances in Grand Slams since Novak Djokovic back in 2008 when he was 21.

The Russian has lost only four of his last 23 encounters with top-10 players on the hard surface. In addition, two of these defeats coming against Djokovic.

Over 38.5 Games at odds of 5/6 with Bet365 seems to be a solid bet for this clash.

Medvedev v Tsitsipas is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 08.30am GMT.

Rafael Nadal takes on Matteo Berrettini in an unmissable Semi-Final show-down at the 2022 Australian Open on Friday.

Nadal is now just two matches away from a record-breaking 21st Grand Slam title as he bids to overtake rivals Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer.

The Spaniard has had a relatively straightforward route to the Semi-Finals, with the exception of the quarter-final clash with Denis Shapovalov, where he squandered a two-set lead before eventually prevailing in five sets.

Nadal is yet to lose in 2022 after nine matches and has only dropped three sets in the process, two of these against Shapovalov. The 35-year-old has been in top form so far in Melbourne, but suffered some stomach problems during his Quarter-Final match.

Berrettini had a sloppy start to the year but has returned to form in typical fashion in the season’s first Grand Slam.

He was put to test twice in five rounds at the 2022 Australian Open so far, contesting five-set thrillers against Carlos Alcaraz in the Third Round and most recently against Gael Monfils in the Quarter-Finals.

Berrettini actually had just one straight-sets victory en route to the last four. However, he is now the first Italian man to reach the Semi-Finals of the Australian Open.

The number seven seed has a record of nine victories and five defeats in Semi-Final matches, but lost all three such encounters against top 10 players.

We expect this match to go the distance, so our prediction is Over 36.5 Games at odds of 6/10 with Bet365.

Nadal v Berrettini is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 03.30am GMT.

Danielle Collins and Iga Swiatek will square off in the Semi-Finals of the 2022 Australian Open on Thursday.

Collins has now reached a Grand Slam Semi-Final for the second time in her career after a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Alize Cornet.

The American had an amazing first-service win rate and managed to win the match despite committing 29 unforced errors.

Collins has been in incredible form since the 2nd half of 2021, having won 31 of her 38 matches since July. During this run, she managed to win her maiden career titles in Palermo and San Jose.

The last time Collins featured in the Semi-Finals of the Australian Open, she was beaten in straight sets by Petra Kvitova.

Meanwhile, Swiatek began her 2022 Australian Open campaign with three comfortable wins in straight sets, but she was tested in the previous two rounds.

Firstly, she survived a scare against Sorana Cirstea in the Last 16 before having to fight again from a set down to beat veteran Kaia Kanepi in the Quarter-Finals.

The Pole holds a 4-2 win-loss record in her previous Semi-Finals, but the worrying news is that she lost the most recent two in straight sets.

Both players have played against some tough opponents in the previous two rounds, so we expect Over 2.5 Sets at odds of 5/4 with Bet365 here.

Collins v Swiatek is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 10am GMT.

World number one Ashleigh Barty will face Madison Keys in the Semi-Finals of the 2022 Australian Open on Thursday.

Local favourite Barty has been in fantastic form here in Melbourne so far, having won each of her five matches without dropping a single set.

Barty has dropped just 17 games in the first five rounds, which includes a terrific performance in the quarterfinals against Jessica Pegula (6-2, 6-0).

Wimbledon champion Barty now holds a 9-0 win-loss record in 2022 with eight of these coming in straight sets and is bidding to become the first Australian woman to reach the final of the Australian Open since 1980. Her previous quest was in 2020 when she was stopped by eventual champion Sofia Kenin.

After a four-year wait, Keys is once again into a Grand Slam Semi-Final. The American has won 10 of her 11 matches on hard courts in 2022 and she is currently on a ten-match winning streak.

She has dropped just one set in five rounds at the Australian Open 2022 and comes fresh off a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Barbora Krejcikova in the Quarter-Finals.

The most impressive thing is that Keys has already equalled the same amount of wins this month (11) as her total wins in 2021.

Our prediction is Over 20.5 Games at odds of 5/6 with Bet365.

Barty v Keys is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 8.30am GMT.

Daniil Medvedev and Felix Auger-Aliassime will face each other for the third time in just five months on Wednesday in the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 Australian Open.

Second seed Medvedev is into the Quarter-Finals of the Australian Open for the second consecutive year. After some comfortable wins in the first three rounds, the Russian showed signs of weakness in the Last 16 when he met an in-form Maxime Cressy.

The US Open champion needed four sets to defeat the Frenchman, but two of these ended in tiebreakers.

Auger-Aliassime did well to win seven of her nine matches in this early part of 2022. The Canadian is currently on a five-match winning streak, including a comfortable 3-1 victory over Cilic in the previous round of this year’s Australian Open.

This is the 21-year-old’s best result in Melbourne in four attempts, but he needs to find a way to get past Medvedev in order to reach the Semi-Finals.

Auger-Alisssime has lost the previous three meetings with Medvedev and has won just one set in the process.

We fancy title favourite Medvedev to win 3-0 at odds of 5/6 with Bet365.

Seventh seed Iga Swiatek takes on veteran Kaia Kanepi in the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 Australian Open on Wednesday.

Swiatek has won seven of her eight matches on hard courts in this early stage of 2022. Her 2022 Australian Open campaign went smooth in the first three rounds, but she was challenged by Sorana Cirstea in the previous round.

The Romanian gave Swiatek a scare by winning the first set, but the Pole was able to fight back and win the match. Following this victory, Swiatek has now reached her third Grand Slam Quarter-Final.

She is now bidding for her second Grand Slam Semi-Final in the same place where she won her first match on the main draw at tour level.

Kanepi, 36, is having a fairy-tale run at the Australian Open 2022 so far which began with a straight-sets victory over Angelique Keber. She comes into this tie fresh off the back of an unexpected win over world number two Aryna Sabalenka.

Before this run, Kanepi had never reached the Fourth Round of the Australian Open. She is now very close to booking her spot in a Grand Slam Semi-Final for the first time in her career.

However, we expect seeded star Swiatek to win 2-0 at odds of 4/6 with Bet365.

Swiatek v Kanepi is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 2am GMT.

Danielle Rose Collins and Alize Cornet will square off in the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 Australian Open on Wednesday.

Collins has been in fantastic shape in Melboure so far which is perhaps surprising given the fact that this is her first tournament since the retirement in Linz in November.

Collins began her Australian Open adventure with back-to-back 2-0 victories over Caroline Dolehide and Ana Konjuh. However, things got a bit more complicated in the previous two rounds.

She had to fight back from one set-down in both third and fourth rounds against Clara Tauson and Elise Mertens respectively. The American had an amazing run here in Melbourne back in 2019 when she took everyone by surprise by reaching the Semi-Finals.

That was her first major Quarter-Final appearance and she followed that up with a similar run at the 2020 French Open.

Cornet has endured a similar run so far, kicking off her Australian Open campaign with consecutive 2-0 wins against Viktoriya Tomova and Garbine Muguruza, but then had to play three-set marathons in the Third and Fourth Round against Tamara Zidansek and Simona Halep.

This is Cornet’s 60th consecutive appearance in a Grand Slam, but it is the first time she has managed to reach the Quarter-Final stage.

Our prediction for this match is Over 20.5 Games at odds of 4/5 with Bet365.

Rising star Jannik Sinner will take on fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 Australian Open on Wednesday.

Sinner has extended his winning streak on hard courts to ten matches with a straight-set victory over Alex de Minaur on Monday. He has already won seven matches in 2022 and has only dropped one set in four matches here at the Australian Open.

Sinner, 20, is the youngest player to make two Quarter-Final appearances in Grand Slams since Nick Kyrgios (19) in 2015. The Italian is in great shape at the moment, but it has to be said that he has not played against a top-10 player since the start of the new year.

Meanwhile, Tsitsipas survived a scare in the previous round as he edged a five-set thriller against Taylor Fritz. The Greek star began his Australian Open campaign with a commanding straight-sets win over Mikael Ymer but has dropped a set in each of the previous three rounds.

Tsitsipas has won all his previous four Quarter-Final matches in Grand Slams, with two of those wins coming here at the Australian Open back in 2019 and 2021.

It’s a tough call, but we think that Sinner will win this one as Tsitsipas might be tired after playing some tough matches in the previous three rounds. Our prediction is Jannik Sinner to win at odds of 4/6 with Bet365.

Sinner v Tsitsipas is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 4am GMT.
