Rafael Nadal v Casper Ruud live stream | French Open 2022 Final preview

Rafael Nadal aims to secure a 14th French Open title at the expense of Casper Ruud in the final at Roland Garros on Sunday.

King of clay Nadal survived a huge scare in the Semi-Finals against Alexander Zverev, as the German had a 6-2 lead in the first-set tiebreaker and had a big chance to serve for the second set.

However, Zverev was forced to retire due to an injury just before the start of the second-set tiebreaker, prematurely ending what could have been a classic contest.

Nadal had not dropped a single set in the opening three rounds but has since lost at least one set in each of his previous three matches.

The Spaniard has only ever lost three fixtures at the French Open across 17 years and he is undefeated in 13 matches in the finals here.

Meanwhile, Ruud has had a bumpy route to the final. The only straight-set victory he managed to register this fortnight was against Ruusuvuori in the second round.

The Norwegian did well to beat some of the biggest strikers on tour during this run, including Hurkacz and Cilic.

Ruud holds a record of 8-3 win-loss record in tour-level finals, but all those victories came in ATP 250 events.

This is undoubtedly the most important match of Ruud’s career and he can write history if he manages to pull an upset against the undisputed king of this court.

Our prediction is Over 3.5 Sets at odds of 17/20 with Bet365.

Nadal v Ruud is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 2pm BST.

Iga Swiatek returns to the French Open final where she will face teenage sensation Cori Gauff at Roland Garros on Saturday.

Swiatek has extended her remarkable winning streak to 34 matches after defeating Daria Kasatkina in the Semi-Finals in straight sets. It was the fourth time this year that the Pole has dispatched Kasatkina and has done so in a dominant manner, winning the match 6-2, 6-1.

Swiatek has dominated the season so far with five titles, while going undefeated since February when she last suffered a loss at the hands of Jelena Ostapenko.

Swiatek’s record in the finals is just as unbelievable as she has only lost one out of 16 played. In addition, she has never lost a set or more than five games in each of her eight tour-level title runs.

Gauff, meanwhile, has not dropped a single set at Roland Garros over the past fortnight, including a comfortable 6-3, 6-1 victory over Italy’s Martina Trevisan in the Semi-Finals.

Following her victory over Trevisan, Gauff became the youngest woman to make a Grand Slam final since 2004 Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova.

The worrying news is that Gauff has never beaten a world number one in a completed match and she is now facing an opponent who is playing the tennis of her life.

Gauff may be the rank underdog in this matchup, but we expect her to test Swiatek, so our prediction is Over 18.5 Games at odds of 3/4 with Bet365.

Swiatek v Gauff is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 2pm BST.

Casper Ruud and Marin Cilic will go head-to-head in the Semi-Finals of the 2022 French Open at Roland Garros on Friday.

Ruud has been in excellent shape over the past month, having won the title in Geneva and then five consecutive matches here at the French Open. The Norwegian has already won two titles this year and did well to reach his maiden Masters 1000 final in Miami.

Ruud has suffered an early exit in last year’s French Open but has enjoyed a lot of success on clay since then. He has won six titles on this surface in the last one year and a half and holds a record of 29 wins and just 3 defeats on this surface.

Meanwhile, Cilic had a pretty comfortable route to the Semi-Finals of this year’s French Open, the sole exception being his Quarter-Final match against Andrey Rublev.

The Croat was one set down at some point during the match and needed five sets in order to win the clash, including a long tie-breaker in the decisive set.

Although Cilic has been on the circuit for a long time now, this is his first Semi-Final appearance at Roland Garros. With his victory over Rublev, he became the first active non-big-four player to register a Semi-Final result in all four Grand Slams.

Our prediction for this clash is Over 38.5 Games at odds of 5/6 with Bet365.

Ruud v Cilic is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 4.30pm BST.

Rafael Nadal and Alexander Zverev will square off in a mouth-watering opening Semi-Finals of the 2022 French Open on Friday.

All odds were against Nadal prior to his box office encounter with Novak Djokovic in the Quarter-Finals. He struggled with fitness issues prior to the French Open and then was taken to the distance by Auger Aliassime in the Round of 16.

However, Nadal managed to overcome all of these and put in an impressive display against Djokovic, beating the Serb 3-1.

This has definitely been a hugely satisfying result for Nadal as he got his revenge after losing to Djokovic in the Semi-Finals of the French Open last year.

Nadal’s sole defeat in the Semi-Finals at Roland Garros came against Djokovic last year. One interesting fact is that Nadal has never managed to win the French Open and the Australian Open in the same season and he is now just two matches away to achieve that.

Zverev had also been an underdog in the Quarter-Finals as he had to face the in-form Carlos Alcaraz. He won the match in four sets and showed how much damage he can do if he is able to play his best tennis.

The victory against Alcaraz ended Zverev’s poor record against the top 10 players in Grand Slams. Prior to that win, the German has lost 11 consecutive matches against such players.

Zverev has suffered two defeats in his three Semi-Final matches on clay this year and his sole Semi-Final match here at the French Open ended as a defeat against Tsitsipas last year.

We expect a tight contest so our prediction is Over 35.5 Games at odds of 3/4 with Bet365.

Nadal v Zverev is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 1.45pm BST.

Cori Gauff will be looking to reach her first Grand Slam final when she meets Martina Trevisan in the Semi-Finals of the 2022 French Open on Thursday.

Trevisan is currently on a ten-match winning streak on clay courts. Prior to the start of the French Open 2022, the Italian did well to win the title in WTA Rabat following a comfortable 6-2, 6-1 victory over Claire Liu in the final.

Trevisan hasn’t dropped a single set in her opening four matches at the French Open but she was really tested by Leylah Fernandez in the quarterfinals. Luckily, Martina benefited from Leylah’s lingering foot issue and won the tie in three sets.

She now has an amazing chance to become the third left-handed female player to reach a French Open final in 30 years.

Gauff’s record in the Semi-Finals is two wins and four defeats. She has only played one Semi-Final this season, losing out to Madison Keys in the Adelaide 250.

Gauff has had a route path to the Last Four, having beaten the likes of Marino, Van Uytvanck, Kanepi, Mertens and Stephens in straight sets.

The 18-year-old has won the junior title at Roland Garros four years ago, but she has never reached a Grand Slam final on the tour level.

However, she is now one win away to become only the second under-19 female player to reach a French Open final in the past 22 years.

Our prediction for this clash is Over 19.5 Games at odds of 4/5 with Bet365.

Trevisan v Gauff is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 3.30pm BST.

Title favourite Iga Swiatek will face Daria Kasatkina in the Semi-Finals of the 2022 French Open at Roland Garros on Thursday.

Swiatek has extended her winning streak to 33 matches thanks to another comfortable 2-0 victory in the quarterfinals of the French Open 2022. The Polish sensation defeated Jessica Pegula 6-3, 6-2 in a match in which she had as many unforced errors as winners.

The only negative for Swiatek is that she didn’t manage to win another Slam title since her triumph in Paris two years ago. However, she has converted her previous Semi-Finals into titles and she is now on a 33-match winning streak. This is actually the third-longest winning run in the 21st century.

On the flip side, Kasatkina has had a flawless run to the semi-finals of the French Open 2022. She is yet to lose a set on Parisian courts so far this year, having beaten the likes of Sramkova, Contreras Gomez, Rogers, Giorgi, and Kudermetova.

This is the fourth time that Kasatkina has reached the Last Four of a tournament this year, following Semi-Final appearances in Melbourne, Sydney and Rome.

Our prediction for this match is Over 17.5 Games at odds of 4/6 with Bet365.

Swiatek v Kasatkina is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 2.00pm BST.

Iga Swiatek and Jessica Pegula will face off in the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 French Open at Roland Garros on Wednesday.

Swiatek has finally lost a set after a month since the Semi-Finals in Stuttgart. She survived a huge scare against Zheng Qinwen, the 19-year-old who caused some upsets in the opening rounds of this year’s French Open.

Swiatek, the odds-on pre-tournament favourite, lost the opening set in a tiebreaker, but then bounced back with two comfortable 6-0, 6-2 sets to win the contest.

Her best Grand Slam result since winning the French Open 2020 is a Semi-Final appearance at the Australian Open back in January.

Swiatek’s stats in professional tournaments is hugely impressive as she boasts a 21-2 win-loss record in Quarter-Finals.

Pegula, on the other hand, has been struggling with consistency in Paris over the past week, but is now into the second week here for the first time in her career.

Prior to this year’s French Open, Pegula had won just two main draw matches on Parisian courts.

The American holds an 8-8 record in the Quarter-Finals, but seven out of these eight defeats came after the lockdown period. Pegula has played just two Grand Slam quarterfinals, both at the Australian Open and lost each of them.

We expect Under 19.5 Games at odds of 7/10 with Bet365.

Swiatek v Pegula is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 2.30pm BST.

Andrey Rublev will take on 20th seed Marin Cilic in the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 French Open at Roland Garros on Wednesday.

Rublev has played against a couple of clay specialists in the last three rounds. He has dropped a set in each of his four matches on Parisian clay so far, although he didn’t meet any top 10 players.

Rublev can consider himself lucky after his match against Jannik Sinner in the round of 16. The Italian had an amazing start and won the first set 6-1 before breaking down physically. Eventually, Sinner retired in the early stages of the third set and Rublev is now in the Quarter-Finals.

This is not the first time when Rublev has reached the Quarter-Finals of the French Open, as he was beaten in straight sets by Tsitsipas at this stage back in 2020.

On the contrary, Cilic is having an impressive French Open campaign so far, having dropped just one set in four matches. In the round of 16, Cilic did well to defeat Daniil Medvedev in straight sets, while actually dropping just seven games.

The Croat is now just one win away to register his best result in the French Open, which is actually the only Grand Slam where he is yet to reach the final.

Cilic has won at least 30 matches in all four Grand Slams and this makes him the first player among non-big-four players to have won this amount of fixtures.

Our prediction for this match is Over 37.5 Games at odds of 3/4 with Bet365.

Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will go head-to-head for the 59th time in the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 French Open on Tuesday.

This match is worthy of a French Open final, and surprisingly, Nadal will go into the match as the underdog this time around despite the fact he has won 13 French Open titles.

Djokovic is currently on a nine-match winning streak on clay courts after recently winning the title in Rome. Nole hasn’t dropped a single set in nine matches, including his four rounds here at Roland Garros.

The Serbian star comfortably dispatched Diego Schwartzman in the round of 16, having dropped just seven games in the process.

Djokovic looks to be in total control of his game and he should feel confident ahead of this 59th meeting with Rafael Nadal, especially due to the fact that Rafa had to play a five-setter in the Last 16.

Meanwhile, Nadal’s match against Felix Auger-Aliassime went to the distance, which was actually only the third time when a match involving Rafa has gone the distance in Paris.

It was definitely Nadal’s biggest test at this edition of the French Open as he won the opening three matches in straight sets.

The main worry for Nadal is that he is not playing at his best level due to his recent injury, while Djokovic is near his optimal level.

Djokovic has the slight edge on the head-to-heads with 30 wins to Nadal’s 28, including a pulsating Semi-Final here last year.

We expect to see another classic contest between these two titans, so our prediction is Over 35.5 Games at odds of 8/11 with Bet365.

Novak Djokovic v Rafael Nadal is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 7.45 pm BST.

Alexander Zverev will take on emerging sensation Carlos Alcaraz in the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 French Open on Tuesday.

Zverev has once again survived a big scare in the round of 16 as he was heavily tested by Zapata Miralles. The Spaniard had more break point chances than Zverev and had several opportunities to win at least two sets, but wasn’t able to capitalize.

Zverev had to battle through his previous three matches at Roland Garros, despite winning the most recent two in straight sets. The German has already played three tie-breakers throughout the tournament and he unexpectedly dropped two sets against Baez in the second round.

Zverev was one of the best players in the ATP circuit last year, but he hasn’t been performing anywhere near that level in 2022.

On the contrary, Alcaraz extended his winning streak to 14 matches after his comfortable 3-0 victory over Khachanov in the Round of 16. Alcaraz has only dropped two sets in four matches on Parisian clay so far, which were against compatriot Ramos in the second round.

With his victory over Khachanov, Alcaraz became the youngest player to reach quarterfinal appearances in more than one Grand Slam since Andrei Medvedev back in 1994.

Alcaraz established himself as the main challenger to Djokovic and Nadal, especially after beating both of them recently.

Our prediction for this match is Over 3.5 Sets at odds of 3/4 with Bet365.
