Rafael Nadal v Taylor Fritz live stream, preview and tips | Indian Wells Masters Final

Rafael Nadal will take on Taylor Fritz in the final of the 2022 Indian Wells Masters on Sunday.

Nadal is currently on a 20-match winning streak after his semi-final victory in three sets over fellow countryman Carlos Alcaraz. It was for the fifth time in as many matches this campaign when he had to fight back from a break deficit.

Nadal has completely dominated the main tour in these first three months of 2022. He has won all three tournaments he competed in – Melbourne Summer Set, Australian Open, and Acapulco Open.

Another interesting fact is that Rafa has won only 25 matches in the entire 2021 season, but he has already registered 20 wins with zero defeats so far in 2022. Another victory here for the Spaniard will see him level Novak Djokovic for the most Masters titles won.

Meanwhile, Fritz has beaten Andrey Rublev in straight sets in the semi-finals and he is now in the final of a Masters event for the first time in his career. Due to this win, Fritz has reclaimed the American number one tag and he will make his debut in the top 15 next week.

The worrying thing for Fritz is that he holds an awful 1-5 record in championship matches on the main tour. In addition, the American players are currently on a four-match losing run in the finals at the Indian Wells.

We expect a comfortable victory for Rafael Nadal tonight, so our prediction is a 2-0 win at odds of 6/10 with Bet365.

Iga Swiatek and Maria Sakkari will square off in the final of the 2022 Indian Wells Masters on Sunday at 8.00 pm (UK Time).

Iga Swiatek has been one of the best performers of the season so far, having won 19 of her 22 matches on hard courts. During this run, the Pole managed to reach the semifinals at Adelaide and the Australian Open before winning the title in Doha.

Here at the Indian Wells, Iga has dropped a set in each of the opening three matches. However, she has played some of her best tennis in the previous two rounds against Keys and Halep.

Iga is now one win away from becoming the first Pole female player to win in the desert and she can become just the 5th player in the last 25 years to win five WTA trophies before turning 21.

Meanwhile, Maria Sakkari is yet to win a title this year despite playing over 20 matches. Her best performance prior to the Indian Wells was a runner-up finish to Kontaveit in Saint Petersburg more than a month ago. She has defeated some solid opponents this week in the desert, such as Siniakova, Kvitova, Rybakina, or Badosa.

Actually, the Greek has lost 15 of her 19 career semifinals prior to her recent victory over Badosa in the semifinals. Surprisingly, Sakkari holds a poor 1-3 record in championship matches, with her sole title coming in Rabat back in 2019.

Our prediction is Over 20.5 Games at odds of 3/4 with Bet365.

Swiatek v Sakkari is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 8.00pm GMT.

Rafael Nadal will be looking for his 20th consecutive win in 2022 when he takes on Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals of the 2022 Indian Wells Masters this Saturday.

Carlos Alcaraz will face his idol in the semifinals of the 2022 Indian Wells Masters on Saturday. Alcaraz has lost just one of his 13 matches in 2022. During this impressive run, Alcaraz has won a trophy on clay at the Rio de Janeiro where he dropped just two sets.

Carlos has entered the Indian Wells as the 19th seed but he looked extremely solid in the first four rounds. Alcaraz has beaten the likes of McDonald, Bautista-Agut, Monfils and Norrie without losing a single set in the process.

This will be Alcaraz’s maiden Masters 1000 semifinal and his record in the semifinals on the main tour is 3-3.

Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal has won all his 19 matches in 2022, but he has shown signs of weakness in his previous two matches at the 2022 Indian Wells. During this impressive run, Rafa has won titles at the Melbourne Summer Set, Australian Open, and Acapulco. Therefore, this will be Nadal’s four consecutive final in 2022.

Rafael Nadal is a three-time former champion at Indian Wells, but he has failed to win his most recent two semifinal ties here back in 2016 and 2019.

Our prediction for this clash is Under 23.5 Games at odds of 3/4 with Bet365.

Alcaraz v Rafa Nadal is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 9.30pm GMT.

Taylor Harry Fritz and Andrey Rublev will square off in the semifinals of the 2022 Indian Wells Masters on Saturday at 8.00 pm (UK Time).

Taylor Fritz has had an impressive start of the year with a couple of important victories in the ATP Cup, followed by a 5th round run at the Australian Open. However, the American has struggled for consistency prior to the 2022 Indian Wells Masters.  He has been knocked out in the second round in Dallas and Acapulco.

Taylor did well to reach the semifinals of the Indian Wells last year too, but that run was completely different than this year. Last year, he defeated three top-20 players, while this year he has beaten three outside top-50 opponents.

In addition, Fritz has dropped a set in each of the previous three rounds and he will now face an in-form Andrey Rublev.

The Russian is currently an excellent start to the season and this will be his 4th semifinal appearance in four ATP events this year. Rublev is currently on a 13-match winning streak on hard courts, having won titles in Marseille and Dubai during this run.

This week at Indian Wells, Rublev has defeated the likes of Koepfer, Tiafoe, Hurkacz, and Dimitrov without dropping a single set.

Andrey Rublev has played three semifinal matches in Masters 1000 events so far and won two of those games.

Our prediction is Andrey Rublev to win 2-0 at odds of 9/10 with Bet365.

Fritz v Rublev is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 8.00pm GMT.

Rafael Nadal will be looking for his 19th consecutive win of the season when he takes on Reilly Opelka in the third round of 2022 Indian Wells on Wednesday at 7.30 pm (UK Time).

Rafael Nadal had a tricky match against Sebastian Korda in the opening round of Indian Wells, but he then won comfortably against Evans (7-5, 6-3) in the second round. That was Rafa’s 18th consecutive victory in 2022, which is actually his career-best start to a season. In addition, the victory marked Nadal’s 400th triumph at the Masters 1000 level.

During this amazing run, Rafa did well to win titles in Melbourne Summer Set, Australian Open, and Acapulco. Furthermore, Rafa has won 95 matches and lost just 11 in the round of 16 in Masters events, so he should feel comfortable ahead of this clash with Opelka.

Reilly Opelka has also had an excellent start to the season by winning his third career title in Dallas and following this up with an appearance in the final of the Delray Beach Open.

In addition, Opelka had an amazing start here at the 2022 Indian Wells, beating the likes of Musetti and Shapovalov in straight sets.

This should be a comfortable win for Rafa, so our prediction is Rafael Nadal to win 2-0 at odds of 57/100 with Bet365.

Rafael Nadal and Daniel Evans will go toe-to-toe in the third round of the 2022 Indian Wells on Monday at 7.30pm (UK Time).

Rafael Nadal’s 17th victory of the season wasn’t an easy one, as he was thoroughly tested by Sebastian Korda. Actually, The Spaniard recovered from 2-5 down in the decider to beat the talented American in a tiebreaker. This came as a surprise especially after Rafa had a flawless tournament in Acapulco where he hasn’t dropped a single set in five matches.

Although Rafa is 35-years-old, this is his best-ever start to a tennis season. The last time he had a strong start to the season was in 2019 when he managed to reach the semifinals here at Indian Wells.

After a first-round bye, Daniel Evans has registered a flawless 6-2, 6-0 victory over Coria in the second round at Indian Wells. Evans had a solid start to the season with three victories in the ATP Cup. Then, he followed this up with a semifinal appearance in Sydney where he lost in three sets against Karatsev.

The Brit has never progressed beyond the 3rd round at Indian Wells in his previous three attempts. It has to be said that all his previous opponents at this stage of this competition were players ranked inside the top 10.

We fancy Under 21.5 Games at odds of 1/2 with Bet365 for this clash.

Daniil Medvedev will take on Gael Monfils on Monday at 6.00pm (UK Time) in the third round of the 2022 Indian Wells Masters.

After a first-round bye, Daniil Medvedev did well to secure his first victory as World No. 1 after a comfortable 6-3, 6-2 triumph against Tomas Machac. This was actually his first competitive match in March as he hasn’t competed in any other tournament since his 2-0 loss against Rafael Nadal in Acapulco.

The most interesting fact is that Medvedev has never progressed beyond the Round of 16 at Indian Wells. His most recent results at this stage of the competition were two three-set defeats against Carreno Busta and Krajinovic.

The Russian has won four Masters titles so far in his career and did well to reach at least the semifinal in two of his last three attempts at this level.

Meanwhile, Gael Monfils looked incredibly solid at the Australian Open in February. He won four matches in a row before losing in a five-set thriller against Berrettini in the quarterfinals. The Frenchman tried his luck in Montpellier a fortnight ago, but suffered an unexpected first-round loss against Ymer.

The good news is that Gael has returned to winning ways two days ago when he won comfortably against Krajinovic in his opening match of the Indian Wells.

Our prediction for this match is Over 20.5 Games at odds of 5/6 with Bet365.

Alexander Bublik and Andy Murray will square off in the second round of the 2022 Indian Wells Masters on Sunday at 7.30pm (UK Time).

Alexander Bublik had a sloppy start to the season with a first-round elimination in Adelaide and a second-round knockout at the Australian Open. However, the Kazakh had an amazing week in Montpellier where he beat top seed Zverev in straight sets in the final to win his maiden ATP title.

This will be Bublik’s first-ever main draw match at Indian Wells, as his previous two campaigns back in 2017 and 2018 ended in the qualifying stages.

Meanwhile, Andy Murray kicked off his 2022 Indian Wells campaign with a three-set thriller against Daniel Taro. Murray did well to fight his way back into the match after winning just one game in the first set. This was Andy’s 700th victory of his career and he is now set for a tricky clash with Bublik.

Murray holds a record of 9 wins and four defeats in the second-round matches here at the Indian Wells. Last year at Indian Wells, Andy did well to defeat Carlos Alcaraz in three sets at this stage of the competition.

Murray has won the previous two meetings with Bublik and we expect a similar outcome here. Our prediction is Andy Murray to win at odds of 6/10 with Bet365.

Rafael Nadal and Sebastian Korda will square off in the second round of the 2022 Indian Wells Masters on Saturday at 8.30pm (UK Time).

Rafael Nadal is now looking for his 4th consecutive trophy in 2022 after winning back-to-back titles in Melbourne Summer Set, Australian Open, and Acapulco. The Spaniard has won all his 15 matches in 2022 and has dropped just seven sets in the process. Rafa hasn’t dropped a single set in his most recent tournament in Acapulco.

Rafael Nadal has won the Indian Wells title on three occasions in his career, but the most recent one was back in 2013. Furthermore, Rafa hasn’t lost a single match in the second round of the Indian Wells.

On the flip side, Sebastian Korda has only played nine matches on hard courts so far this season and has won six of these. Korda has recently reached the quarter-finals in Delray Beach, but then lost in the opening round of the Acapulco Open.

Korda began his Indian Wells adventure with a comfortable 6-3, 6-4 victory over Thanasi Kokkinakis, but he will now face the best performer in 2022 – Rafael Nadal. The last time Korda met Nadal was at the French Open two years ago when he won just four games.

Our prediction for this match is Rafael Nadal to win 2-0 at odds of 1/2 with Bet365.

World No. 1 Daniil Medvedev will take on Tomas Machac in the second round of the 2022 Indian Wells Masters on Saturday at 7.00pm (UK Time).

Although Medvedev didn’t win the Mexican Open a fortnight ago, he still managed to end Novak Djokovic’s dominance at the top of the ATP Rankings. The Russian has won 12 of his 15 matches on hard courts in 2022. Unfortunately, he has failed to win a single trophy during this run.

However, Daniil has been one of the best performers on tour over the past year, having reached at least the quarterfinal in every tournament he has competed in since July 2021.

Daniil’s most recent appearance on the tennis courts was in Acapulco where he lost in straight sets against Rafael Nadal. It was his second loss in one month at the hands of Spaniard, as he was also beaten by Rafa in the final of the Australian Open towards the end of January.

Meanwhile, Tomas Machac has already played 25 matches on hard courts in these first three months of 2022. The 21-year-old player started the year with a trophy in the Traralgon Challenger. Then, he followed this up with participation in the main draw of the Australian Open after winning three matches in the qualifying stage and one on the main draw.

Machac has also played two qualifiers here in Indian Wells where he defeated the likes of Albot and Marchenko. In addition, he demolished Alexey Popyring in the opening round and he is now facing a daunting task against World No.1, Daniil Medvedev.

The worrying thing is that Machac has failed to win both of his 2nd-round matches on the main tour so far this season.

Our prediction for this clash is Under 19.5 Games at odds of 3/4 with Bet365.

Medvedev v Machac is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 7.00pm GMT.
