Alcaraz v Ruud live stream, preview and tips | Miami Open Final

Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud will go toe-to-toe in the final of the 2022 Miami Open on Sunday at 6.00 pm (UK Time).

Carlos Alcaraz has lost just one of his last 16 matches while winning one trophy during this run. It seems that the Spanish teenager is following Nadal’s footsteps and he did well to continue his impressive 2021 form into this season. Carlos has won his first ATP 500 title in Rio and he made a semifinal appearance at Indian Wells.

Here in Miami, the Spaniard has dropped just one set in four matches while picking up victories over Cilic, Tsitsipas, Kecmanovic, and defending champion, Hurkacz.

Due to his impressive form this season, Alcaraz has now moved to #3 in the Race to Turin and #12 in the ATP Rankings.

Casper Ruud, on the other hand, has struggled for consistency in the first three months of the year. However, he did well to lift the title in Buenos Aires on clay courts following a tight clash in the final with Schwartzman.

Similar to Alcaraz, Ruud has dropped just one set this week in Miami, although he has played against accessible opponents except in his clash with Zverev. Prior to this edition, Ruud has failed to win a main draw match in Miami in four attempts.

The interesting fact is that Casper Ruud is currently on a six-match-winning run in championship matches on the main tour.

We expect a tight clash here, so our prediction is Over 21.5 Games at odds of 8/11 with Bet365.

Paula Badosa and Jessica Pegula will square off in the quarterfinals of the Miami Open on Wednesday at 6.00 pm (UK Time).

Paula Badosa has won 17 of her 23 matches on hard courts so far this season, with her best results being in Sydney where she did well to lift the trophy. She has also had a great run to the semifinals at Indian Wells recently where she lost in three sets against Maria Sakkari.

Here in Miami, Paula is yet to drop a single set this week, having beaten the likes of Bouzkova, Putintseva, and Fruhvirtova. Due to her recent performance, Badosa will now make her debut in the top 3 and she is aiming for a third semifinal of the season.

Meanwhile, Jessica Pegula has been struggling with inconsistency throughout these first three months of the year. She has failed to win a single trophy this year, but did well to reach the quarterfinals at the Australian Open and now in Miami too.

The worrying thing is that Jessica holds a poor 2-7 record in the quarterfinals. Actually, those two victories led to semifinal appearances in Doha and Montreal last year.

Our prediction for this clash is Over 20.5 Games at odds of 4/5 with Bet365.

Badosa v Pegula is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 6.00pm GMT.

Daniil Medvedev and Andy Murray will square off in the 2nd round of the Miami Open 2022 on Saturday at 4.00 pm (UK Time).

Daniil Medvedev has been at the top of the ATP Rankings for just a couple of weeks as he couldn’t hold on to that spot due to recent poor results. The Russian was eliminated from the semifinals of the Acapulco Open a month ago. Then, he lost against Monfils in the third round of the Indian Wells.

Daniil has already won 13 matches on hard courts this year, but he has failed to win any trophy during this run. Medvedev’s results at the Miami Open in his previous three attempts haven’t been great as his best performance was a quarter-final appearance in the last edition in 2021.

Andy Murray has been up and down over the past two months, having won five and lost five of his last ten matches on hard courts. The Scott kicked off the Miami Open tournament with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Delbonis.

The most worrying thing is that Andy has suffered second-round defeats in four successive tournaments. He was eliminated in the second round of the Australian Open, Doha, Dubai and Indian Wells.

Our prediction is Asian Handicap -4.5 on Daniil Medvedev at odds of 8/11 with Bet365.

Medvedev v Murray is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 4.00pm GMT.
