Novak Djokovic v Rafael Nadal live stream | French Open 2022 preview

Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will go head-to-head for the 59th time in the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 French Open on Tuesday.

This match is worthy of a French Open final, and surprisingly, Nadal will go into the match as the underdog this time around despite the fact he has won 13 French Open titles.

Djokovic is currently on a nine-match winning streak on clay courts after recently winning the title in Rome. Nole hasn’t dropped a single set in nine matches, including his four rounds here at Roland Garros.

The Serbian star comfortably dispatched Diego Schwartzman in the round of 16, having dropped just seven games in the process.

Djokovic looks to be in total control of his game and he should feel confident ahead of this 59th meeting with Rafael Nadal, especially due to the fact that Rafa had to play a five-setter in the Last 16.

Meanwhile, Nadal’s match against Felix Auger-Aliassime went to the distance, which was actually only the third time when a match involving Rafa has gone the distance in Paris.

It was definitely Nadal’s biggest test at this edition of the French Open as he won the opening three matches in straight sets.

The main worry for Nadal is that he is not playing at his best level due to his recent injury, while Djokovic is near his optimal level.

Djokovic has the slight edge on the head-to-heads with 30 wins to Nadal’s 28, including a pulsating Semi-Final here last year.

We expect to see another classic contest between these two titans, so our prediction is Over 35.5 Games at odds of 8/11 with Bet365.

Novak Djokovic will take on rival Rafael Nadal in the Semi-Finals of the 2021 French Open from 5.30pm BST on Friday.

Djokovic’s camp really wanted their player to meet Nadal in the Semi-Finals as they believe the number one seed would play much better against the Spaniard at this stage of the competition than in the final. This makes complete sense as three of Djokovic’s last four defeats in championship matches in Paris came at the hands of Nadal. Novak is currently on a nine-match winning streak on clay and has dropped just five sets in the process. The Serb kicked off his French Open 2021 campaign with three consecutive 3-0 victories, but then dropped three sets in his most recent two matches against the Italians Musetti and Berrettini.

Meanwhile, Nadal has won 18 of his last 20 matches on the clay surface. During this run, Rafa has won titles in Barcelona and Rome and also reached the quarterfinals in Rome. At Roland Garros, Rafa secured four consecutive straight-set wins before dropping a set against Diego Schwartzman in the Quarter-Finals. Nadal has only lost two completed matches on Parisian clay in his last 16 appearances and he has conceded only four sets since 2015.

Once again, we expect a fierce battle between these two giants, so our prediction is Over 3.5 sets at the price of 14/25 with Bet365.

Djokovic v Nadal is available to watch live on desktop, mobile or tablet devices in the UK and various other regions worldwide from approximately 5.30pm BST.
