Paula Badosa v Simona Halep live stream | Wimbledon 2022 preview

Fourth seed Paula Badosa will take on former champion Simona Halep in the Round of 16 at Wimbledon on Monday.

Badosa is not generally known as a top-class grass-court player, but she looked solid in the opening three rounds at Wimbledon last week. The Spaniard has beaten the likes of Chirico, Bara and Kvitova without dropping a single set in the process.

Badosa’s record in the Grand Slam round of 16 matches is pretty poor, having won just once in four matches at this stage.

Her only appearance in a major quarterfinal was at the 2021 French Open. She has had a strong start to this season with a title in Sydney, Semi-Finals at Indian Wells, and quarterfinals in Miami and Charleston.

Halep is the last Wimbledon former champion left in the competition and she looked pretty sharp in the opening three rounds.

She has defeated the likes of Muchova, Flipkens, and Frech while dropping just 19 games in the process.

The Romanian is currently 18-2 on grass since the start of the 2019 grass season, including winning Wimbledon that year.

Our prediction for this match is Over 20.5 Games at odds of 4/6 with Bet365.

Fourth seed Paula Badosa will take on two-time champion Petra Kvitova in the round of 16 of Wimbledon 2022 on Saturday.

Badosa has played just three matches on grass so far this season, having won two and lost one in the process. Both her victories came here at Wimbledon where she beat the likes of Chirico and Bara.

Badosa is yet to drop a single set at Wimbledon so far this week and she is now one step away to match her best Wimbledon results, which is a 4th-round elimination in 2021.

Paula has had a strong start to 2022, but she was unable to maintain that form over the past few months. She hasn’t won three matches in a row since her impressive performances at Indian Wells and Miami.

Kvitova is currently on a seven-match winning streak on the grass surface. She has recently won the Eastbourne tournament while losing just one set in five matches.

At Wimbledon this week, the Czech player had to play a three-setter against Jasmine Paolini in the first round before beating Ana Bogdan in straight sets in the 2nd round.

Kvitova has won Wimbledon on two occasions, but she has gone past the 3rd round here only once since lifting the title back in 2014.

We fancy Petra Kvitova to win at odds of 4/6 with Bet365.

Badosa v Kvitova is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 3pm BST.

Paula Badosa and Jessica Pegula will square off in the quarterfinals of the Miami Open on Wednesday at 6.00 pm (UK Time).

Paula Badosa has won 17 of her 23 matches on hard courts so far this season, with her best results being in Sydney where she did well to lift the trophy. She has also had a great run to the semifinals at Indian Wells recently where she lost in three sets against Maria Sakkari.

Here in Miami, Paula is yet to drop a single set this week, having beaten the likes of Bouzkova, Putintseva, and Fruhvirtova. Due to her recent performance, Badosa will now make her debut in the top 3 and she is aiming for a third semifinal of the season.

Meanwhile, Jessica Pegula has been struggling with inconsistency throughout these first three months of the year. She has failed to win a single trophy this year, but did well to reach the quarterfinals at the Australian Open and now in Miami too.

The worrying thing is that Jessica holds a poor 2-7 record in the quarterfinals. Actually, those two victories led to semifinal appearances in Doha and Montreal last year.

Our prediction for this clash is Over 20.5 Games at odds of 4/5 with Bet365.

Badosa v Pegula is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 6.00pm GMT.

Paula Badosa Gilbert will take on Victoria Azarenka in the final of the Indian Wells Masters on Sunday at 9.00pm (UK Time).

Paula Badosa has won four of her five matches in the desert in straight sets. During this run, the Spaniard defeated four consecutive top 20 opponents: Ons Jabeur, Coco Gauff, Barbora Krejcikova and Angelique Kerber.

Paula Badosa has had an amazing year so far, having won 40 tour-level main draw matches. This will be Paula’s second career final after the Belgrade 250 in May. She did well to win the title in Belgrade after benefiting from Ana Konjuh’s retirement in the second set of the final.

Meanwhile, Victoria Azarenka fought back from one set down to defeat Jelena Ostapenko in the semifinals. The Belarusian is now in the final of the Indian Wells for the third time in her career. She has the third-most career wins in Indian Wells – 33 from 12 main draw campaigns. It’s also worth mentioning that Victoria has won both her previous Indian Wells finals in straight sets.

The only downside for Vica is that she hasn’t won a final since becoming a mother, losing in Monterrey in 2019, US Open in 2020 and Ostrava most recently.

Victoria Azarenka is the experienced player in this matchup and we fancy her to win at odds of 8/11 with Bet365.

Badosa v Azarenka is available to watch via a live stream on desktop, mobile or tablet devices from approximately 9.00pm BST.
