Pliskova v Giorgi live stream and preview | National Bank Open 2021

Karolina Pliskova and Camila Giorgi will meet in the final of the National Bank Open 2021 in Montreal today at 17.00pm (UK Time).

Karolina Pliskova has won 12 of her last 15 matches on grass and hard surfaces. After three accessible opponents in the first rounds,  Karolina Pliskova met Aryna Sabalenka in the Semifinal and recorded an amazing victory. Pliskova sailed past Sabalenka 6-3, 6-4 while dispatching 20 winners and 10 aces. The Czech has dropped just one set here in Montreal this week, which was against Vekic in the opening round.

On the other hand, Camila Giorgi has had a mixed year so far, but she showed signs of life recently. The Italian has reached the Eastbourne semifinals two months ago but she was forced to withdraw due to an injury. After a decent performance at the Tokyo Olympics where she reached the quarter-finals, Camila is now in the final of the WTA Montreal. She dominated the match against Jessica Pegula in the Semi-finals and she is now in a final of a hard-court tournament for the first time since 2019.

Giorgi has already won twice against Pliskova this year and we fancy her to grab a third win at the odds of 3/2 with Bet365.

Pliskova v Giorgi is available to watch via a live stream online from approximately 5pm BST.

Top seed Aryna Sabalenka takes on former World No.1 Karolina Pliskova in the Semifinals of the National Bank Open 2021 in Montreal today at 18.00pm (UK Time).

Aryna Sabalenka has had an amazing year so far, having won titles in Abu Dhabi and Madrid Open, as well as finishing runner-up in Stuttgart. Aryna has also looked solid on grass recently, registering her best result at Grand Slam level by reaching the semifinals at Wimbledon. She has lost in the 2nd round of the Tokyo Olympics three weeks ago, but bounced back with three comfortable victories here in Montreal.

Karolina Pliskova, meanwhile, has started the year in a poor manner but looked much better over the past two months. She finished as runner-up to Ashleigh Barty in Wimbledon, but then lost in the third round of the Tokyo Olympics at the hands of Camila Giorgi. Pliskova had an easy run here in Montreal so far, by defeating the likes of Vekic, Anisimova, and Sorribes Tormo on her way to the semifinals.

Sabalenka has won two of the last three meetings with Pliskova, but she lost the most recent one in Wimbledon. We fancy Aryna to win here at odds of 53/100 with Bet365.

Sabalenka v Pliskova is available to watch via a live stream online from approximately 6pm BST.

Aryna Sabalenka and Victoria Azarenka will square off in the Quarter-Finals of the 2021 National Bank Open in Montreal on Friday.

Sabalenka didn’t manage to link back-to-back victories at the Tokyo Olympics recently, but she did that here at the National Bank Open 2021 in Montreal.

Sabalenka started her week with a narrow 2-1 victory over Stephens and followed this up with a comfortable 2-0 win against Rebecca Marino. She has won eight of her last ten matches, including his great run to the Semi-Finals at Wimbledon last month.

Azarenka, on the other hand, was still struggling with fitness problems ahead of this tournament, but she looked solid in the opening two rounds. After being eliminated in the Second Round of Wimbledon by Sorana Cirstea, Victoria got her revenge here in Montreal by defeating the Romanian in straight sets in the opening round. Then, she needed a decisive tie breaker against Maria Sakkari to book her spot in the Quarter-Finals.

Sabalenka has enjoyed an amazing year so far, so we fancy her to grab a 2-0 victory here at odds of 6/5 with Bet365.

Sabalenka v Azarenka is available to watch via a live stream online from approximately 5pm BST.

Johanna Konta will be looking for an eighth consecutive win when she takes on Coco Gauff at the National Bank Open in Montreal on Thursday.

Gauff has enjoyed an amazing season so far this year, especially on clay. She also looked decent on grass, where she reached the round of 16 at Wimbledon. The young American kicked off the National Bank Open tournament with a 2-0 victory over Sevastova and followed this back with another impressive performance against Potapova in the second round. She had a 5-0 lead in the first set when Potapova decided to retire due to an injury.

Meanwhile, Konta has won the Nottingham tournament two months ago and she continued the good form with back-to-back victories against Zhang and Svitolina here in Montreal. This is Konta’s best run of results over the past two years by far and another victory today against  Gauff will make her one of the favourites to lift the Montreal trophy.

Gauff has been amazing this season and we back her to win today at the price of 11/25 with Bet365.

Gauff v Konta is available to watch via a live stream online from approximately 7pm BST.

Johanna Konta and Elina Svitolina will lock horns in the second round of the WTA Montreal (National Bank Open) on Wednesday.

Konta hasn’t been at the top of her game over the past few years, but she has found some form recently. The Brit has won the title in Nottingham on grass two months ago following a dominant 2-0 victory over Shuai Zhang. She began her Montreal campaign with another victory over Zhang, although the Chinese player was forced to withdraw in the 2nd set despite having a one-set lead. This means that Johanna is now on a six-match winning streak, which is definitely one of her best runs over the past years.

Svitolina, on the other hand, has endured a couple of disappointing results on clay and grass surfaces recently, but she looked decent at the Tokyo Olympics where she managed to win the Bronze medal. Svitolina’s best performance on hard courts prior to the Tokyo Olympics was a Semi-final appearance in Miami.

Both players have been struggling for consistency over the past months, so we expect Over 20.5 Games at odds of 4/5 with Bet365.

Konta v Svitolina is available to watch via a live stream online from approximately 4pm BST.

ATP and WTA action continues at the 2021 National Bank Open, and a live stream is available for all matches.

The 140th edition of the men’s tournament, an ATP 1000 held in Toronto, features 16 seeded stars joined in the draw by a series of qualifiers and wildcards.

The 129th edition of the women’s tournament, a WTA 1000 held in Montreal, also features 16 seeds accompanied by a host of qualifiers and wildcards.

The respective events continue the build-up to the US Open in New York later this month.

Rafael Nadal is the reigning and five-time Canadian Open champion, having claimed back-to-back titles in 2018 and 2019.

Nadal is the number two seed and is eyeing a return to the winner’s circle having opted out of Wimbledon and the Olympic Games before suffering a Last 16 defeat to Lloyd Harris in the Washington Open last week.

Daniil Medvedev, who was beaten by Nadal in the 2019 final, returns as number one seed, with Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev seeded three and four respectively.

The likes of Denis Shapovalov, Casper Ruud, Félix Auger-Aliassime and Diego Schwartzman will also be out to make their mark.

The women’s event sees Bianca Andreescu bidding to defend her title on home soil, with the Canadian seeded number two behind recent Wimbledon semi-finalist Aryna Sabalenka.

Two-time champion Simona Halep is also in action, alongside the likes of Elina Svitolina, Karolína Plíšková and Coco Gauff.

All matches are available to watch exclusively live on desktop, mobile or tablet devices to users in the UK and various other regions worldwide.
