Five-time champion Roger Federer and four-time champion Rafael Nadal will both miss out through injury, as will six-time women’s champion Serena Williams.

Who are the favourites to win the US Open?

In the absence of rivals Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, it’s no surprise to see Novak Djokovic installed at odds-on in most places to win the 2021 US Open.

Djokovic has dominated in Grand Slams this year, winning the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon, and is out to complete a remarkable calendar year quadruple.
