Daniel Evans takes on Italian Andrea Vavassori in the ATP Marrakech quarter-finals (11:30am BST).

Evans has only one ATP tour title to his name in his career, and that was on hard courts in Melbourne. Generally the Brit performs better on faster courts, he has an excellent grass court record, but his skills are also well suited to creative tennis, which is often required on clay. Evans’ main problem on clay is his lack of outright power to hit through the court.

Vavassori is in his first ever ATP quarter-final. He is well-known on the Challenger circuit and, being Italian, he has years of clay-court experience under his belt. He certainly shouldn’t be underestimated in this encounter having scored come-from-behind victories over excellent clay court players in Nicolas Jarry and Jaume Munar.

I think that the Italian could win this one as well to make a maiden semi-final.
