Andy Murray: Year to date
2023 isn’t Murray’s last year on the circuit, as said by the man himself, but things are certainly getting harder for the Brit when it comes to Grand Slams. He exited the Australian Open in the third round, being beaten by Roberto Bautista Agut in four sets.
The French Open was a non-starter for Murray, who decided to skip the event and concentrate on Wimbledon. Whilst it may have been a solid plan in theory, it didn’t work out in practice, with the 36 year old losing a five set thriller to Stefanos Tsitsipas in the second round. Murray has previously won the US Open, although that was in 2012 and it would be an unbelievable feat if the former world number one were to get his hands on the trophy again.
