Andy Murray faces his toughest challenge yet at Surbiton as he faces world number 69 Australian Jason Kubler in the quarter-finals at the south-west London venue.
Murray opted out of the French Open in order to focus on the grass court season and has his sights set on being seeded at Wimbledon.
The two-time Wimbledon champion has yet to drop a set in this first tournament on grass for him since Newport last year. Murray has now won 15 and lost 6 of his grass court matches since returning from his hip operation, showing that he is still exceptionally effective on the surface.
Kubler, however, is no mug on grass either. The Aussie has a 67% win record as a professional on the surface, albeit in far fewer matches than the experienced Murray.
Murray has defeated Hyeon Chung and Bu Yunchaokete to reach the quarter-final stages, firing down 24 aces in the four sets played so far.
Kubler has a similar record of straight sets wins. In his case these have been over Gijs Brouwer and British #5 Ryan Peniston.
This will be the first meeting between the two and gets under way from around 2pm BST over the best of three sets.
There is bound to be another Aussie in the next round though as the winner of this match will meet either Rinky Hijikata or Jordan Thompson in the semi-finals.
