Andy Watson in ATP Tour 10 Nov 2023

The ATP Finals begin on Sunday, but who is the favourite to win the year-end finals, and who are the outsiders?

The Favourites

Novak Djokovic is the six-time ATP Finals champion, and has won three of the four Grand Slam titles in 2023. He is rightfully the absolute favourite for this title.

Carlos Alcaraz has been the only player who has been ahead of Djokovic in any outright market in 2023, but the Spaniard has shown some inconsistency in the back end of the 2023 season. This is shown in the gap between the two best players in the world in the market.

The Possibles

Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev come next in the market, though in the opposite order of their seeding for the tournament. Sinner certainly has the weapons and the record against Alcaraz to help him go deep in the tournament. Medvedev also has a slightly more difficult draw, getting the fifth and seventh seeds in his group, as opposed to Sinner, who got the sixth and eighth seeds.

Both men are favoured to escape from their groups though.

The Outsiders

The remainder of the field are at sizeable double figure prices.

This is perhaps understandable as none of the remaining four have had seasons that warrant being classed as a fancied player. Also, the majority of the players have a real head-to-head problem with the top players, except perhaps Holger Rune. The Dane has some form and physicality issues though coming to the end of the season.
