Andrey Rublev and Casper Ruud will fight for a place in the Semi-finals of the 2021 Nitto ATP Finals on Friday at 1.00pm (UK Time).
Andrey Rublev kicked off his Turin campaign with a 2-0 win over Stefanos Tsitsipas, but then lost in straight sets against Novak Djokovic. Rublev made his debut campaign at the ATP Finals last year, when he registered two defeats and one win in three group matches.
Rublev hasn’t been at his best lately, but he holds an impressive 5-0 record over Casper Ruud.
Meanwhile, Casper Ruud has won six of his last ten matches on indoor hard courts. Ruud has suffered a 2-0 defeat against Novak Djokovic, but he did well beat Norrie 2-1 in the second group match.
Ruud has recently suffered two consecutive defeats in the quarterfinals of Vienna Open and Paris Masters, so it will be interesting to see if he can win in this ‘virtual’ quarter-final.
