Hubert Hurkacz will take on the Spaniard Pablo Carreno-Busta in the final of the 2021 Metz Open on Sunday.

Hurkacz is very close to becoming the first player from outside the top 10 to win three or more titles on the main tour in 2021. The Pole converted his previous two semifinal appearances in ATP Tour events this year into titles in Delray Beach and the Miami Open.

Hurkacz is yet to drop a single set here in Metz after winning in straight sets against the likes of Pouille, Murray, and former champion Gojowczyk.

Meanwhile, Carreno-Busta is eager to win a title here after suffering a humiliating loss against Cressy in the opening round of the US Open a month ago.

The Spaniard has also won two titles this year, having beaten Munar in Marbella and Krajinovic in Hamburg.
