Last year’s runner-up Nick Kyrgios was forced to withdraw from Wimbledon on the eve of the Championships following a wrist injury.
The injury woes continue for Kyrgios, who has withdrawn from the US Open ahead of the draw being made on Thursday 24 August. It’s been a frustrating year for the Australian, who will be hoping 2024 will give more success.

Nick Kyrgios: Year to date
Things were looking rosy for Kyrgios heading into 2023, with Wimbledon Final and US Open quarter final appearances seeming to mark a rise to the elite for the Australian. Injury struck, however, forcing Kyrgios to withdraw from the Australian Open. It was a theme that lasted for the remainder of 2023, with the 28 year old missing the rest of the year as he continued to fight injury.
Whilst his 2023 campaign may be over, he’ll be hoping to find the kind of form in the new year that saw him make his mark a in 2022.
