Cameron Norrie resumes his Lyon Open title defence when he locks horns with Sebastian Baez in the quarter-finals on Thursday.
The two players are facing off at this stage of the ATP 250 event for the second year running, with Norrie having prevailed in three sets on his way to lifting the trophy 12 months ago.
The British number one, who was also the runner-up in 2021, has now won a record-extending 12 matches in Lyon following his 6-3, 6-4 victory over David Goffin on Wednesday.
It was also a 50th tour-level win on clay for Norrie, who is targeting his second title of the season having also triumphed in Rio de Janeiro.
The world number 14 is also enjoying a timely return to form ahead of the French Open, which begins on Sunday.
Standing in his way of a place in the last four is sixth seed Baez, who is appearing in his 10th tour-level quarter-final.
The world number 44 is enjoying a solid season having already landed silverware in Cordoba and reached the Santiago semi-finals, as well as being a quarter-finalist in Rio and Estoril.
The winner of this match will play whoever prevails in the other Great Britain-Argentina quarter-final matchup between Jack Draper and Francisco Cerundolo in the last four.
Play gets underway at around 12pm BST on Thursday and will be contested over the best of three sets in Lyon.
