The hard court event is part of the ATP 250 Series and will be hosted at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha from February 14-21.

The field is comprised of eight seeded players, as well as three wildcards, four qualifiers and two lucky losers.

Georgia’s Nikoloz Basilashvili is the defending champion after he defeated Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut 7-5, 6-2 in the final.

Denis Shapovalov is the number one seed in this year’s Qatar Open, ahead of last year’s finalists, plus Marin Čilić, Dan Evans, Karen Khachanov, Alexander Bublik and Lloyd Harris.

Andy Murray is among the wildcards as he looks to continue his resurgent start to the season.

The tournament carries a lucrative total prize fund of $1,176,595, with the winner taking home a cheque for $114,875.
