Matteo Berrettini claimed back to back Queen’s Club Championships when he beat Filip Krajinović in Sunday’s final.

The Italian saw off stiff competition in Dan Evans and Denis Kudla before easing past Thomas Paul and Botic van de Zandschlup to make it to the final. The 26 year old never really looked like losing throughout the competition, dropping just one set and appearing dominant despite only returning from surgery on his hand in March.

Berrettini will be hoping to go one step further at Wimbledon this year, after being beaten by Novak Djokovic in the final in 2021. It would certainly cap a great year for the current world number 11, who also reached the quarter final in the US Open and the semi final in the Australian Open.

If Queen’s is a good indication of things to come then Berrettini could be celebrating in SW19 next month too.
