Kaia Kanepi and Aryna Sabalenka will square off in the Fourth Round of the 2022 Australian Open on Monday.
Kanepi is definitely enjoying an excellent run at the Australian Open 2022 so far despite she is 36 years old. Ten years ago, she was one of the best female tennis players in the world, being ranked 15th at that point.
Kanepi is currently world number 115 and if she manages to see off Sabalenka here, she will reach the Quarter-Finals of a Grand Slam for the first time in her career.
The Estonian began her 2022 Australian Open campaign with an impressive straight-set win over Kerber and then followed this up with two more victories over Bouzkova and Inglis.
Sabalenka has finally managed to put some victories together after an awful start of 2022. As we previously mentioned, the Belarusian has lost her first two matches of the year against mediocre opponents such as Juvan and Peterson.
The bad news is that all three of Aryna’s matches here in Melbourne have gone to three sets. The good news, though, is that she looked pretty solid against Vondrousova in the previous round.
This match should bring some excitement as both players possess similarly explosive gameplay. Over 20.5 Games at odds of 19/20 with bet365 seem to be on the cards here.
