Karolina Pliskova v Magda Linette live stream | Australian Open 2023 preview

Karolina Pliskova and Magda Linette go head-to-head for a place in the 2023 Australian Open Semi-Finals in Melbourne on Wednesday.

Both players are aiming to keep their pursuit of a maiden grand slam on track in what is proving one of the most open women’s singles majors in recent years.

Pliskova, the number 30 seed, is appearing in her fourth Australian Open Quarter-Final since 2017, with her best run coming in 2019 when she reached the Semi-Finals.

The Czech star has lost in two major finals – the 2016 US Open and Wimbledon 2021 – and has stormed through her opening four matches in Melbourne without dropping a set.

The 30-year-old has seen off Wang Xiyu, Yulia Putintseva, Varvara Gracheva and Zhang Shuai and is now vying for an eighth win over Linette in what is their tenth meeting in all competitions.

Poland’s Linette has already broken new ground by progressing to her first grand slam Quarter-Final at the age of 30.

The world number 46 had previously never made it beyond the Third Round at any major since her main draw debut in 2015 but has already put three seeds to the sword over the past week.

After starting out with a straight sets win over Mayar Sherif, Linette then edged out 16th seed Anett Kontaveit in three sets before knocking out 19th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova and fourth seed Caroline Garcia in straight sets to continue her landmark run.

The match gets under way from approximately 12am GMT and will be available to watch live online via the link below.

Either fifth seed Aryna Sabalenka or Donna Vekić will await the winner in Thursday’s Semi-Finals.
