Novak Djokovic will be looking to continue his clean run at the 2021 French Open when he takes on Ricardas Berankis from 1pm BST on Saturday.
Djokovic had no problems against Pablo Cuevas in the previous round and registered his 350th victory in Grand Slams in fashion. It only took him 2 hours and 8 minutes to clinch the deal, having dropped just nine games. Five of Nole’s last six matches on clay ended in straight sets, which means that the Serb is now on the right track. Djokovic has an excellent record of 14 wins and just one defeat in the third-round matches in Paris.
Meanwhile, Berankis did well to beat Humbert and Duckworth in the first two rounds and dropped just two sets in the process. This is the first time when the Lithuanian managed to win consecutive main draw matches on clay in tour-level events since 2013. Berankis met Djokovic in the Second round of the 2020 French Open and lost in straight sets while winning just five games.
