Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will go head-to-head for the 59th time in the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 French Open on Tuesday.

This match is worthy of a French Open final, and surprisingly, Nadal will go into the match as the underdog this time around despite the fact he has won 13 French Open titles.

Djokovic is currently on a nine-match winning streak on clay courts after recently winning the title in Rome. Nole hasn’t dropped a single set in nine matches, including his four rounds here at Roland Garros.

The Serbian star comfortably dispatched Diego Schwartzman in the round of 16, having dropped just seven games in the process.

Djokovic looks to be in total control of his game and he should feel confident ahead of this 59th meeting with Rafael Nadal, especially due to the fact that Rafa had to play a five-setter in the Last 16.

Meanwhile, Nadal’s match against Felix Auger-Aliassime went to the distance, which was actually only the third time when a match involving Rafa has gone the distance in Paris.

It was definitely Nadal’s biggest test at this edition of the French Open as he won the opening three matches in straight sets.

The main worry for Nadal is that he is not playing at his best level due to his recent injury, while Djokovic is near his optimal level.

Djokovic has the slight edge on the head-to-heads with 30 wins to Nadal’s 28, including a pulsating Semi-Final here last year.
