Novak Djokovic will probably have his first real test at the French Open 2022 when he takes on Diego Schwartzman on Sunday at 11.30am (UK Time).
Novak Djokovic increased his winning streak on clay courts to eight matches after defeating Bedene in straight sets in the previous round. The Serb hasn’t dropped a single set during this run and did well to lift the trophy in Rome.
Novak is yet to be tested at the French Open 2022 as he defeated all past three opponents in straight sets while dropping just 23 games in the process.
He is now facing a clay specialist in the shape of Diego Schwartzman, but the good news is that Nole holds a perfect 15-0 record in the round of 16 at the French Open.
Meanwhile, Diego Schwartzman had a tough path to the fourth round in Paris as he dropped a set in the first round against Kuznetsov. Then, he pulled an extraordinary comeback against Munar in the second round. Actually, his easiest match was against Dimitrov in the third round as he smashed the Bulgarian in three sets 6-3, 6-1, 6-2.
Schwartzman also holds a solid record at the French Open, having reached at least the quarterfinals in three of the last four editions.
