Iga Swiatek v Lesia Tsurenko live stream | French Open Fourth Round Preview

Iga Swiatek continues her march towards the 2023 French Open final by taking on Lesia Tsurenko in the fourth round at Roland Garros on Monday.

The defending champion has been very much on the march through the draw in the first week at Roland Garros, will that run continue today?

Four out of six of Swiatek’s sets in this tournament have ended 6-0 to the Pole. She is conserving energy and building her confidence ahead of a tougher second week. However, the cards are falling her way as well with the withdrawal of Elena Rybakina undoubtedly helping her potential schedule.

Tsurenko is having an excellent week herself. The very definition of a tricky hurdle, the Ukranian has beaten former Grand Slam champions Barbora Krejcikova and Bianca Andreescu this week. If it wasn’t for one particular stat then could be concerns for Swiatek ahead of this clash.

The big problem that Tsurenko is that she has managed a grand total of four games in two clashes with Swiatek. Both of their previous clashes came on clay and both are exceptionally relevant to this match. One came in Rome this year, conditions are similar in the Italian capital to Paris, and the other was in last year’s Roland-Garros.

All indications point to a facile victory again for the Polish world number one. She is looking very dominant once again.

Play gets underway at around 1.30pm BST and will be contested over the best of three sets on Court Phillipe Chatrier at Roland Garros.
