Serena Williams will be aiming to continue her good run here at the French Open 2021 when she takes on Mihaela Buzarnescu today at 15.00pm (UK Time).
Serena Williams began her 2021 French Open adventure with a 2-0 victory over Irina Begu, but the American had to dig deep to survive in the first set to win it in the tiebreak. This was only her second win on clay this year. Overall, she has won just three matches on this surface over the past two years. Serena will now face another Romanian player in the shape of Mihaela Buzarnescu, No. 174 in the rankings.
Mihaela Buzarnescu managed to win just one match on clay this season before beating Arantxa Rus in the opening round of the 2021 French Open.
