Tamara Zidansek will take on Paula Badosa in the quarterfinals of the 2021 French Open today at 11.00 am (UK Time).
Tamara Zidansek did well to beat Sorana Cirstea 2-0 two days ago to become the first Slovenian player to reach the last eight of a Grand Slam. Zidansek has dropped just two sets in her four matches on the Parisian clay so far and defeated some decent names in the process, such as Bianca Andreescu, Siniakova, and even the in-form Sorana Cirstea. Zidansek’s best performance on clay this season was in Bogota where she finished as runner-up to Osorio Serrano.
Meanwhile, Paula Badosa extender her winning streak on clay to nine matches after beating Vondrousova two days ago in the R16 of the 2021 French Open. The Spaniard reached the semifinals in Madrid a month ago and then won the title in Belgrade without dropping a single set in the process. Badosa began her adventure in Paris with two straight-set wins over Davis and Kovinic, but then had to play three sets against both Ana Bogdan and Vondrousova.
