Alexander Zverev looks to maintain his impressive record against Frances Tiafoe when the pair collide in the French Open third round on Saturday.
The German has prevailed in six of his seven previous meetings with the American, including all three encounters at grand slams.
Indeed, they will have faced off in every major with Zverev advancing at the Australian Open and Wimbledon in 2017, as well as in their US Open showdown two years later.
Appearing in round three for the seventh time in eight years, the two-time semi-finalist is on course for another deep run in Paris.
Zverev has come through his opening two matches without dropping a set, seeing off Lloyd Harris 7-6(6), 7-6(0), 6-1 and Alex Molcan 6-4, 6-2, 6-1.
The 22nd seed is now looking to claim his 26th victory in 33 matches at Roland Garros, where Tiafoe is set to make his first appearance in round three.
The 2022 US Open semi-finalist arrived in the French capital having already triumphed at the United Cup and U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championships this season, as well as reaching the Indian Wells Masters semi-finals.
And Tiafoe maintained that momentum with a commanding straight-sets victory over Filip Krajinovic, before recovering from losing the opener to see off a resurgent Aslan Karatsev 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, 6-2.
But the 12th seed must now upset the head-to-head record and history books to prolong his run, though he will definitely fancy going deep should he prevail here.
The winner of this match will play either Grigor Dimitrov or Daniel Altmaier in round four at the 2023 French Open.
Play gets underway at 7.15pm BST and will be contested over the best of five sets on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
