Andrey Rublev and Cameron Norrie go head to head in a mouth-watering fourth-round clash at the Indian Wells Masters.

One of the standout ties of the round sees the players respectively seeded sixth and 10th collide for a place in the last eight.

The latter stages at Indian Wells are familiar territory to both men. Norrie triumphed here in 2021, while Rublev was a semi-finalist 12 months ago.

One of the players of the season so far, Norrie has already reached three finals in 2023.

The British number one was a runner-up in Auckland and Buenos Aires – losing to Carlos Alcaraz in the latter – but exacted his revenge on the Spaniard by taking the title in Rio de Janeiro.

Fatigue as a result of his efforts saw Norrie subsequently withdraw from Acapulco, while he has endured a mixed return to action.

After beating Tung-Lin Wu 6-2, 6-4 in the second round, the 27-year-old was forced to come from behind before eventually seeing off Taro Daniel 6-7(5), 7-5, 6-2.

Norrie is now looking to avenge the straight-sets defeat he suffered against Rublev at this stage of last year’s US Open.

The sixth seed is eyeing his maiden silverware of a campaign that has seen him finish as runner-up to Daniil Medvedev in Dubai, and reach the quarter-finals in Melbourne and Doha.

And he is yet to drop a set in his two matches so far – beating Jiri Lehecka 6-4, 6-2 before putting Ugo Humbert to the sword 7-5, 6-3.

The winner of this match will play either Frances Tiafoe or Alejandro Tabilo in the Indian Wells Masters quarter-finals.

Play gets underway at around 8pm GMT on Tuesday and will be contested over the best of three sets in California.
