Cameron Norrie looks to extend his winning streak when he faces Frances Tiafoe in the Indian Wells Masters quarter-finals.

One of the players of the season so far, only Daniil Medvedev (22) has won more matches than the British number one (21).

Norrie is targeting a second Indian Wells title having lifted the trophy in 2021, and he will certainly fancy his chances.

A champion in Rio de Janeiro earlier this month, the 10th seed has now won each of his last eight matches following an impressive 6-2, 6-4 victory over Andrey Rublev.

Norrie also beat Tung-Lin Wu 6-2, 6-4 in the second round, while he was forced to come from behind before eventually seeing off Taro Daniel 6-7(5), 7-5, 6-2.

But the 27-year-old faces a stern test in Tiafoe, who has reeled off six successive sets to reach his maiden Indian Wells quarter-final.

Fresh from notching his 150th tour-level win against Alejandro Tabilo in round four, last year’s US Open semi-finalist has his sights set on breaking into the world’s top 10 for the first time.

The reigning United Cup winner – and quarter-finalist in Dallas and Acapulco – will achieve that by progressing to his first ATP Masters 1000 final this week.

One of only two Americans remaining in the draw, he has also beaten Marcos Giron (6-2, 6-2) and Jason Kubler (6-3, 6-2) on route to the last eight.

The winner of this eagerly anticipated contest will play either Medvedev or Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the Indian Wells Masters semi-finals.

Play gets underway at around 6pm GMT on Wednesday and will be contested over the best of three sets in California.
