Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alex De Minaur will go head-to-head in the fourth round of the 2021 Indian Wells Masters on Thursday.
De Minaur’s recent form has been poor, with the Aussie losing seven of his last ten matches on hard and grass surfaces. Prior to Indian Wells, De Minaur has suffered opening round defeats at the US Open, Metz and Sofia.
The good news is that he bounced back with two consecutive 2-0 wins in the first rounds at Indian Wells, beating the likes of Vukic and Garin. It has to be said that De Minaur had a good run throughout the grass season when he also won the title in Eastbourne.
Tsitsipas, on the other hand, has won 18 of his 22 matches on hard courts so far this season. However, he has failed to win any titles during this run, despite reaching the semifinals in Toronto and Cincinnati.
The Greek began his Indian Wells campaign with a 2-0 victory over Martinez and then secured a 2-1 win against Fognini in the second round. His most recent title was in May in Lyon on the clay surface.
