Andy Murray v Jack Draper live stream | ATP Indian Wells 2023 preview

An all-British encounter in the Indian Wells third round as the young pretender Jack Draper takes on the old master in Andy Murray in the late session on Monday.

The young left-hander Draper is a powerfully built individual with a big serve and plenty of potential. However, he has it all to prove still having not beaten most of the top players and having not been to the latter stages of any of the big tournaments.

Neither of those statements could possibly apply to Murray who has danced every dance in an illustrious career and has a really strong start to 2023, reaching the Doha final already.

Whilst this will be the first official competitive meeting between the two, Murray did oust Draper a few months ago in the Battle of the Brits exhibition tournament.

The data between the pair tends to edge towards Draper. Taking a twelve-month sample size it is the youngster that has the better win percentage on hard courts. Draper also holds serve and breaks more often than Murray over this period, and I think that it is the edge Draper will find on the Murray serve that will see him through this match in the end.

The match gets underway from around 1am GMT on Tuesday morning and will be contested over the best of three sets in Indian Wells, California.
