Cameron Norrie will face Diego Schwartzman in the Quarter-Finals of the 2021 Indian Wells Masters on Thursday.
Norrie registered his third consecutive victory in three sets at Indian Wells as he defeated former Boys’ French Open champion Tommy Paul in the Last 16.
This is Norrie’s best performance in a Masters 1000 event by far as he had never won a main draw match at Indian Wells previously.
The Brit has been in fantastic shape over the past ten months. He has played five championship matches on the main tour. In addition, he holds a 6-3 record in quarterfinal matches so far this year.
Schwartzman, on the flip side, had a slow start at this edition of Indian Wells. The Argentine had to save two match points in the second round against Cressy and then fought back from a set down to defeat Evans in the third round.
Diego has played five quarter-final matches in Masters 1000 events in his career and won only two in the process – both on his favourite surface – clay.
