Aussie stars Nick Kyrgios and Alex de Minaur will face off in the Third Round of the National Bank Open in Montreal on Thursday.

The first meeting between the two compatriots will see man of the moment Kyrgios aiming to continue his blistering run of form against his former doubles partner.

Kyrgios reached his first Grand Slam final at Wimbledon last month and went on to claim the Citi Open title in Washington without dropping serve all tournament.

The 27-year-old has now won 14 of his last 15 matches in all competitions and is producing undoubtedly the most consistent tennis of his career to date.

He began his latest campaign in Canada with a straight sets victory over Sebastian Baez, before knocking out world number one Daniil Medvedev in a deciding set in Round Two.

Krygios is already enjoying his joint-best performance in Canada and will look to maintain his prolific service game in a quest to deny his fellow countryman a place in the Quarter-Finals.

De Minaur has pulled off two impressive victories en route to the Third Round, overcoming Denis Shapovalov and Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets.

The world number 21 has reached the Fourth Round of the Australian Open and Wimbledon this year and picked up the Atlanta Open title on hard court last month.

Either eighth seed Hubert Hurkacz or Albert Ramos Viñolas will await the winner in Friday’s Quarter-Finals.
