In-form Nick Kyrgios takes on Hubert Hurkacz in the Quarter-Finals of the National Bank Open in Montreal on Friday.
Kyrgios reached his first Grand Slam final at Wimbledon last month and went on to claim the Citi Open title in Washington without dropping serve all tournament.
The 27-year-old has now won 15 of his last 16 matches in all competitions and is producing undoubtedly the most consistent tennis of his career to date.
He began his latest campaign in Canada with a straight sets victory over Sebastian Baez, before knocking out world number one Daniil Medvedev in a deciding set and dispatching fellow countryman Alex de Minaur in successive sets on Thursday.
Kyrgios is already enjoying his best run on Canadian soil and will look to maintain his prolific service game in a quest to make it ten matches unbeaten.
Hurkacz, the reigning Halle Open champion, is appearing in a second successive Canadian Open Quarter-Final, having beaten Emil Ruusuvuori and Albert Ramos Viñolas in deciding sets.
The number eight seed made 23 aces in his Third Round win and is now eyeing a second successive victory over Kyrgios, having prevailed in the Semi-Finals in Halle earlier this year en route to the title.
Either fourth seed Casper Ruud or sixth seed Félix Auger-Aliassime will await the winner in Saturday’s Semi-Finals.
