Daniil Medvedev will be looking for his 4th consecutive Master title when he takes on Reilly Opelka in the final of the National Bank Open 2021 in Toronto.
Daniil Medvedev has only dropped two sets in Toronto this week and dispatched John Isner in the Semi-finals while losing just four games. He looked very confident against John Isner, who is a big server, but he now faces another player with a huge service in the shape of Opelka. Daniil has played six consecutive finals on hard courts and lost three in the process.
Reilly Opelka, on the flip side, has had a fantastic tournament in Toronto 2021 so far. He kicked off his campaign with a great victory over Kyrgios and followed that with another impressive success against Dimitrov. Then, the American secured two more wins against Harris and Bautista-Agut, before registering the biggest victory of his career – against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinals. Opelka can now become the first American champion in this North American hardcourt even since Andy Roddick back in 2003.
