Coco Gauff v Caroline Garcia live stream | US Open 2022 preview

Home favourite Coco Gauff will take on Caroline Garcia in the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 US Open on Tuesday.

Gauff has had an impressive first week in Flushing Meadows, having beaten the likes of Jeanjean, Ruse, Keys, and Zhang without dropping a single set in the process. She will now play her first-ever US Open Quarter-Final match.

In addition, she became the youngest American to play a quarterfinal match at the US Open since Oudin’s last-eight finish back in 2009.

Gauff has already played six Quarter-Finals this year and has won just three of them. In terms of Grand Slam performances, this will be Gauff’s third appearance in a Quarter-Final at this level.

Both of her previous Grand Slam Quarter-Finals were at the French Open though, so this will be the first one outside Paris.

Gauff holds a record of 19 wins and 10 defeats on hard courts for the year and she is 24-16 across all surfaces in 2022.

Meanwhile, Garcia defeated Alison Riske in the previous round of the US Open 2022 and she is now on a 12-match winning streak. The French ace has recently won the Cincinnati Open as a qualifier, winning eight matches in a row.

Prior to this year’s US Open, Garcia has never entered the second week in Flushing Meadows in her previous nine attempts.

Similar to Gauff, Garcia is yet to drop a set here in New York after her victories over Rakhimova, Kalinskaya, Andreescu and Riske.

Gauff has won both meetings with Garcia so far, but we expect a tougher contest this time around. Our prediction is Over 20.5 Games at odds of 8/13 with Bet365.
