Daniil Medvedev v Nick Kyrgios live stream | US Open 2022 preview

Defending champion Daniil Medvedev and Nick Kyrgios will square off for the third time this year in the Fourth Round of the US Open on Sunday.

Medvedev is on a quest to defend his US Open title and he looked very motivated for the entire week. The Russian has obliterated every opponent so far, dispatching the likes of Stefan Kozlov, Arthur Rinderknech and Wu Yibing in straight sets.

The world number one had a decent season so far but was not able to replicate his amazing performances from 2021. Early this year, Medvedev reached the final at the Australian Open, the Semi-Finals of the Mexican Open and the Quarter-Finals of the Miami Open.

After being sidelined with a hernia for almost two months, Medvedev returned to action and has reached two consecutive finals at Libema and Halle.

Most recently, the Russian managed to win the Los Cabos Open before losing against Kyrgios in the opening round in Montreal and in the Fourth Round against Stefanos Tsitsipas in Cincinnati.

Meanwhile, Kyrgios has enjoyed a great run of form recently, having won 17 of his last 20 matches on grass and hard courts. During this impressive run, he finished as runner-up to Djokovic at Wimbledon before lifting the trophy in Washington.

The Aussie also made a quarterfinal appearance in Montreal where he lost in three sets against Hubert Hurkacz.

Head-to-head, Nick Kyrgios leads the way versus Medvedev as the Australian has won three of the four meetings with the Russian.
