Iga Swiatek v Jule Niemeier live stream | US Open 2022 preview

Top seed Iga Swiatek will face Jule Niemeier in the Fourth Round of the 2022 US Open on Monday.

Swiatek managed to get her third consecutive victory yesterday as she safely dispatched Lauren Davies in straight sets. This is the first time Iga has won three matches in a row since the end of her amazing 37-match winning streak back in July.

The Polish star has had an amazing 2022 so far, having won titles in Qatar, Indian Wells, Miami, Stuttgart, Italian Open, and French Open.

Swiatek has been struggling with consistency since her third-round defeat at Wimbledon back in July, but it seems she found form here in the Flushing Meadows. She has swept aside Jasmine Paolini, Sloane Stephens and Davies without dropping a single set in the process.

Niemeier, on the contrary, was on a three-match losing streak prior to the start of the US Open. Her most recent two defeats came at the hands of outside top 160 players in Hamburg and W60 Bronx tournaments.

This year, Niemeier has won two titles at W60 Zagreb and 125k Makarska. Then, she followed up her good form with an impressive quarterfinal appearance at Wimbledon, defeating Anett Kotnaveit en route.

Last week in New York, she defeated the likes of Sofia Kenin, Yulia Putintseva and Qinwen Zheng without dropping a set.
