Iga Swiatek road to the US Open

Swiatek arrives at the US Open off the back of another disappointing Wimbledon campaign. The grass tournament has never been the Pole’s favoured event and that trend continued, with Swiatek eliminated at the quarter-final stage. The three-set loss to Elina Svitolina in the final eight marked Swiatek’s best finish at Wimbledon, but she still fell some way short of her lofty expectations.
