Katie Boulter road to the US Open

Boulter endured a generally quiet season until her triumph at the Rothesay Open in Nottingham, victory over Jodie Burrage in the final confirming her status as British number one.

She then went on to reach round three at Wimbledon, and also won an ITF event in Canberra at the start of the season.

Diane Parry road to the US Open

Parry reached the semi-finals in Lausanne last month, while she beat home favourite Harriet Dart in the opening round at Wimbledon.

The Frenchwoman also won a WTA 125 in Paris – albeit after opponent Caty McNally withdrew ahead of the final – and reached the semi-finals in Marrakech.
