Emma Raducanu aims to continue her fairy-tale campaign at the 2021 US Open when she takes on Belinda Bencic in the Quarter-Finals on Wednesday.
Raducanu put in another impressive display to defeat Shelby Rogers in the Round of 16. The Brit is just the third qualifier to reach the US Open Quarter-Finals in the Open Era. She has won 13 of her last 15 matches on hard courts and is yet to drop a set in Flushing Meadows after seven matches.
Furthermore, she is 5-0 in her career against top 50 players and she has already taken out three players at this level this week.
Bencic has been at her best over the past few months. The Swiss has won the Gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and she also reached the Quarter-Finals in Cincinnati prior to the US Open.
She is in the US Open Quarter-Finals for the third time in her career, having reached the semis back in 2019 and the Last Eight in 2014 at the age of just 17.
Similar to Raducanu, Bencic hasn’t lost a single set in New York so far and comes fresh off a tough victory over Iga Swiatek.
