Olympic gold medallist Alexander Zverev resumes his quest for a maiden Slam as he takes on Jack Sock in the US Open fourth round on Saturday.
Zverev came agonisingly close to lifting this trophy last year; surrendering a two-set lead against Dominic Thiem in the final.
The 24-year-old has certainly responded well to the setback, though, winning three ATP titles and claiming gold in Tokyo.
The fourth seed is yet to drop a set in his two matches at Flushing Meadows ahead of facing Sock, who is looking to reach round four for the first time since 2016.
Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic continues his mission to complete the Calendar Grand Slam, but faces a tough proposition in former runner-up Kei Nishikori.
The pair have met twice before in the semi-finals of this event. Nishikori prevailed on the way to reaching the 2014 showpiece, while Djokovic exacted revenge at the same stage four years later.
Jannik Sinner and Gael Monfils go head to head in what promises to be an intriguing battle on Armstrong, while sixth and seventh seeds Matteo Berrettini and Denis Shapovalov lock horns with Ilya Ivashka and Lloyd Harris respectively.
Over in the Ladies’ draw, top seed Ash Barty is looking to match her best performance at the US Open by reaching round four for a third time. Although, her task will not be straightforward against Shelby Rogers, who got to the quarter-finals last year in New York.
Elsewhere, 2019 champion Bianca Andreescu seeks a 10th straight victory at Flushing Meadows against Greet Minnen, as Olympic gold medallist Belinda Bencic aims to build on her momentum when she faces Jessica Pegula.
Wimbledon finalist – and 2016 US Open runner-up – Karolina Pliskova resumes her quest to go one better against Ajla Tomljanovic, while former French Open champion Iga Swiatek looks to secure her maiden passage into round four when she plays Anett Kontaveit.
Petra Kvitova – two-time winner at Wimbledon – and Roland Garros semi-finalist Maria Sakkari lock horns in what promises to be an entertaining clash, as another sees rising British star Emma Raducanu go head to head with Sara Sorribes Tormo.
French Open runner-up Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova is also in action against Varvara Gracheva, who defeated 24th seed Paula Badosa in round two.
