Carlos Alcaraz v Tallon Griekspoor live stream | Wimbledon 2022 preview

Carlos Alcaraz continues his quest for Wimbledon glory with a Second Round tie against Tallon Griekspoor on No.2 Court on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old sensation already has four titles to his name in 2022 and notably dispatched Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Alexander Zverev en route to the Madrid Open crown.

Alcaraz has two Grand Slam Quarter-Final appearances to his name – at the 2021 US Open and 2022 French Open – and came into Wimbledon 2022 as one of the favourites for glory in only his second attempt.

The big-serving youngster is now ranked world number seven and looks set for a long career in the top echelons of the sport, with pedigree on all surfaces.

Having lost in the Second Round on debut at Wimbledon last year, Alcaraz will be eyeing a strong run this time around, but was made to work hard for his First Round win.

The Spanish teenager twice recovered from a set behind to edge out Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff in a thrilling decider on the opening day of the competition.

He now comes up against world number 53 Griekspoor of the Netherlands – who has never been beyond the Second Round stage of a Grand Slam.

Griekspoor, 25, has reached the Second Round of all three majors so far this year and began his run here by recovering from a set down to defeat Fabio Fognini 3-1 on Monday.

Either number 32 seed Oscar Otte or Germany or American qualifier Christian Harrison will await the winner in the Third Round later in the week.
